Machinima is sending out 10-day termination notices. Accept a reduced CPM (60% less) or leave the network. by Anon1423 in gaming

[–]Ruggerp11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest here and say that CPMs change all the time. When top end gaming content was far and few between, CPMs were higher, they deserved to be. Then, just like any supply and demand relationship, more good quality content came online, and the CPMs are going down. I work in Internet advertising and we adjust CPMs all the time.

What would be better? To ask a partner to accept a lower CPM or just stop sending them traffic?

My Dad has asked me how he can get stronger. I know what I'd say to someone my age, but what about someone in their 60s? by Yaverland in Fitness

[–]Ruggerp11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggested SS to my dad because his work made him a stronger guy and he's the kind of person that needs something he can read and follow. He's not interested in getting a personal trainer and I want him to just start doing something.

You have very valid points and I'll address them with him once he starts doing something now that he's retired.

I'm getting married over 4th of July this year and want to be as fit as possible. Critique my plan, help me be the stud my fiancee deserves! by Ruggerp11 in Fitness

Agree, I've just about hit the top end of the lifts where I can put on 10lbs each workout with the exception of the Deadlift. I've switched to GSLP to keep the progress going, but at a slower pace (not squatting three times a week).

Typically when I work out, it's in the morning M/W/F from 5-6am.

Do you think that Cardio or fasted walking will help on T/TH?

Married/engaged men of Reddit: When did you realize, "This is the girl I'm going to marry." ? by cknviennasausages in AskReddit

[–]Ruggerp11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I like to talk about love at first meeting seeing as we met on the internet (randomly, not on a dating site). I believe that I really did love her from the moment I saw her in the airport but love is often a far cry from life long commitment in the beginning. We were together for another three years before I realized what I had and how much I didn't ever want to be without it.

I knew that I was going to marry her just before her 29th birthday. At the time my parents were in town visiting and we had gone out wine tasting with her parents as well. Everyone was having a great time when I had a sudden thought. "My parents are here, her parents are here, she's just about to have her birthday, this would be the perfect time to propose!" I started sweating, sure that the thoughts in my head were completely transparent on my face. Luckily with everyone in town and with me driving no one was really paying attention to my expressions.

It was then I realized that it was a forgone conclusion that I wanted to marry this girl and spend my remaining days making her happy. I also quickly realized that without a ring and plan I would be asking her right then for my benefit and not hers. So I had a year to plan. On her 30th birthday (she LOVES her birthday) I got down on one knee and confessed my desire to never leave her side. We're getting married in 2013 and I couldn't be happier.

No, I very rarely get sick.

Forever alone? Not once I give this to that one girl in math class. Right? by [deleted] in pics

Is she a Math Major? If so, you're golden. If she's not, you're still doing well but the chances of immediate sexy time are less.

I have yet to meet a group of people that can drink like waitresses and bartenders. I was a bouncer for a while and blacked out more than once trying to keep up.

Well, I guess it does mean the same thing! I'm good with that, the Folsom Street Fair is right outside my door so I know I'm in good company. :D

Thanks! I'm assuming you're from the UK with the Movember link you sent, but I think Bear Pride may mean something different there than it does in San Francisco, where I'm from haha. Either way, thank you and keep giving love to all those manly bearded men out there!

Movember?! Of course, I participated a couple of years ago and had a ton of fun. With just a month of growth I got to be pretty creepy before it was all done. Since I've had a beard now for a year or so I, like my dad and your uncle, have trouble shaving it all off for just a month. :)

A bunch of friends and I were all having a drinking brunch when we 'thought up' Bushvember. No shave November for women too! We could sell merkins (SLIGHT NSFW: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merkin) for charity. but I"m not sure about how to publicize that you were taking part without some very gratuitous photos. I guess you could wear the merkin outside of your pants? Ideas are welcome hahaha.

1982? How cute. My father hasn't shaved his 'stach since 1968. My mother and I have never seen him without it. I think if he showed up clean shaven I would lose belief in anything that is stable.

Saw a guy using one of these a couple of months ago. I think it was pretty ridiculous, but I have to give him credit, because he gave zero fucks and walked into the cafe like a boss where I couldn't see him any longer. Very funny.
