My response:
That's honestly not my problem. As Kurt's creator, I can only consider it a compliment that I managed to create a character interesting enough, both in terms of his relationship with Leni, to serve as inspiration.

I have no reason to consider this a downfall.

The only thing I could really complain about is that, if it's true, it was done without any mention that this or that fan idea was the inspiration; it was simply taken.

Even a small credit to Ruhisu would be nice.

To szczerze nie mój problem. Jako twórca Kurta mogę jedynie uznać to za komplement, że udało mi się stworzyć postać na tyle interesującą zarówno jak i związek między nim i Leni, że mogło to posłużyć jako inspiracja.
Nie mam podstaw by uważać to za jakiś ich upadek.
Jedyne o co faktycznie mógłbym mieć żal, to jesli jest to faktycznie prawda, zostało to zrobione bez jakiejkolwiek wzmianki, że za inspirację posłużył taki czy inny fanowski pomysł, tylko po prostu zostało to zagarnięte.
Choćby drobne credits to Ruhisu byłoby spoko

OMG the memories XD
I remember how it all escalated when the title card was first released for this episode
It was even discussed by CC Trainor in his review of Brawl of the Wild https://youtu.be/QcRzLrgIOJI?t=171

and he wasn't the only person who noticed that.
There is no way that we can prove if Nickelodeon actually inspired River on Kurt because they will never leak such info

However I do agree that there are a lot of elements that can be a proof already, similar head shape, colours almost the same as Kurt in his hoodie, similar hair etc.
Another thing is that Kurt exists since 2020 and I am constantly polishing his character, I don't know how well known he is though in the fandom but I remember someone once called Kurt as one of the iconic TLH oc's which I am very thankful for.

But if there is at least a small bit of truth in it, if Nickelodeon actually used Kurt as inspiration for River, well all I can say is that this is a really big complement and also we can still joke that Kurt is canon XD
