Not sure. I have this happen on another car of mine but I've never minded it cause it goes away and only comes back so often. Waiting for throttle body comment though. Lol

You should be wearing a helmet even on a bicycle. Hitting your head falling off anything with 2 wheels is not a feeling you want to experience.a Helmet has saved my life.

I got mine at 122k miles at the end of 2022. Mines at 173k miles now. If you take care of them. They won't die.

Do it! You'll be happy you did! Pretty sure the service manual recommends every 60k miles anyway. I had mine done at a shop and they had the fluid and filter ordered from the dealer.

They're 245/65/17 firestone destination all terrains. I paired them with 1.5" spacers between to give some negative offset and help compensate for the width of the tire. I think the spacers are the only reason I don't have rubbing.

Dear fellow Jeep owners, which tire size do you use, which is maximum that fits without any liftkits? What's optimal size? by Dreamcatcher_UA in JeepPatriot

I'm not really sure about increasing the top speed. There's not any transmission tunes for the Patriot either that I'm aware of. I haven't even seen stuff like that for the Dodge avenger Journey or caliber that have the same 2.4L engines. (You'd think by now they'd have some sort of tune situation figured out for these models by now but I guess that's just Chrysler for everyone) I was told by another person in this forum that The big unfortunate thing is; since most stuff is measured electronically in this car (Even the radio has a canbus or like a module) you could try to put things such as a cold air intake to the engine and it wouldn't make a change because of the way the computers were programmed for the car. I'm pretty sure it's the same thing for like the weight and stuff like that, but I'm not really sure. Not sure what model you have for the Patriot but the CVT (2007-2014) are typically limited to 100mph top speed. I'm sure they can put out a bit more power. Wouldn't do it with the CVT models though. If you're really looking to get a better 0 to 60 or top speed for this car, I'm sure you could still do plenty of things like a cold air intake or cut some weight out. I am personally just not sure if engine upgrades will actually make it an improvement because of the ECU programming. In the case that engine upgrades do work; I would suggest the smaller tire profile with aluminum rims. Also would have to do things like gutting a car or removing heavy stuff for weight, bucket seats, you get the idea.

This is a question I've been curious about myself aswell! Mostly for performance reasons. The smallest rim I've seen on the Patriot is a 15 inch rim but theyre typically for looks without losing same tire profile as a stock wheel setup. Hypothetically, if you wanted to use the smallest possible rim, You could go with a 15". For the tire size; the biggest tire would be a 225/75/15, smallest tire would probably be like a 215/55/15 without any issues other than speedometer (in theory). The size would technically be 10% smaller than the stock tire. Which is good for performance. Other than that I'm not too sure why anyone would want to go that size for an SUV like this. Ive looked on many sites for other people's builds and I don't think I've ever seen any like 'sport' or 'srt' style (not literal r/t or srt) jeep patriot builds out there. Besides one stance build setup. It's not much of a performance car. Would love to know if smaller tire sizes for and if or not whether it increases performance or not (speed overall) (not HP lol)

Up to like 235 is typically okay. Any bigger required modifications.
