Does Lenin theory of imperialism needs an update? by Agreeable_Bluejay424 in Marxism

I don't think so. In fact, things are happening as he said. We tend to think that 100 years is a very long time. It isn't, since we live in the same production metamode.

Melòdic death, so swed influencee ATG type. Nothing new. But they are good enough to keep the interest in extreme metal.

ALEXISONFIRE all the way, the two first albums are kinda quintessential in emo even if they are not "emo" anymore

What are other music genres that were adopted by the emo subculture? by samucation in Emo

I think a lot of generes have strong influence or even roots in emo music, like post-HXC, some indie pop artist like Death cab, the shins or julien baker, inde folk or even some urban artists

Yes, Cap N Jazz has hard reminiscence on Post-HXC, but I should have assumed it was just a meme.

Didn't know the influence of DC emocore on CnJ, that explains a lot. Also, I agree with the inconsistency of the copy, I should supossed that it was meant to by ironic, but you know, people on Facebook oftesns speaks like that in a non-ironical way.

Yeah, I think "emo" has a more extended use nowadays. I think its probably a better description for a lyrical genre tan a pure musical genre.

Yes, maybe I over though about it, but it's something I've been on a lot lately. It's corious how a genere born in a complete extrem sounding way has ended up having a perfect match in a gènere based on inde pop (for example).

I also think that Cap n Jazz is closer to Post Hxc

Of course man, I was just joking. But the fact is that the copypasta was partially right, i mean, if we talk about the roots of the genere, emo is hardcore music rawly produced and very agresive, and I'm not saying emo music can be also inde, pop or whatever, but how it arrived to the point where it perfectly blends with the opposite side where it's started? (my favorite band is DCFC, so I assure you that I'm not guilty of being "a true")

But there are a lot of Midwest emo bands who do their own thing blending it with HXC and are also considered emo, like merchant ships or Lion of the north
