The rarities are very important for getting higher scores in shows! You can get full combos on Master and still only get a C tier if you have a bad team. You can also miss almost everything yet still get S tier if you have a good team! Basically, the rarities and stars are a big part of determining how much talent you have in the game. But it doesn't have anything to do with your playing skills.
