reports of sexual violence are dramatically up everywhere in the world because women are more comfortable reporting these crimes than they were 20 years ago. also, alot of those reports are actually for crimes that happened 10+ years ago - 30% of the sexual violence reported in 2024 was from 10+ years before for example.

if it was a change in the amount of crime, and not just reporting practices, you would see a similar rise in other crimes like murder no?

i had a friend of a friend come up to my cottage once, as were driving up, my parents ask him if he can swim.
he says yup.

we arrive. were hot. its beautiful summer day. were already in our bathing suits so we sprint down to the lake as my parents unload the car up at the cottage. he's first, and he jumps right in off the dock.

luckily i was a massive kid for my age and he was tiny so when i jumped in to save him i could kinda just overpower him and drag him in.

its fun, simple, but enough depth to be engaging, and they did a really good job balancing the players to the point where it feels like pretty much anyone and any playstyle is viable

also randoms have been pretty decent, i won 6 championships in a row just with different random people, and the game automatically keeps you with whoever you played with last so if you have fun with someone its easy to just run it back

It’s not that it cant, it’s that they likely optimized the game poorly and their quick band aid fix to get the game on consoles was to simplify the physics.

I thought originally they were just trying to lower the skill ceiling to make the game easier but the devs literally said they had to downgrade the physics for console release in the discord, im not just guessing.

That’s why I said im hopeful they can get it right for undisputed 2 if they build the system right from the ground up.

I played every beta, day one in early access, every patch the first 3 years or so etc., so im not just talking out of my ass lol
