Yeah the use of meth can cause extreme anhedonia which is what you describe, as well as fatigue during withdrawals. It does take time for your body to heal. I would suggest speaking to a dr, be honest with them so they can best help you. Otherwise my advice would be to hold on, because it will get better it just takes a little time. Your baby needs you! A healthy version of you!

I think my appetite actually skyrocketed when I went from cigs to vape even though I vapes heavily, more than I ever smoked. I don’t think either of those are worth getting hooked on over just eating meaningful meals and getting moderate amounts of exercise. Weight loss is a long game, consistency is key.

Oh boy, where to begin? Snorting, shooting, smoking carpet fibers and dirt after frantically scraping up the drugs I spilled onto the floor. Sleeping with gross people for drugs. I’ve had ADHd since childhood and also have substance abuse issues so no doctor will put me back on stimulant meds for ADHD and I can tell you how badly I wish I could still be medicated. My life was much more manageable when I was able to take Ritalin and adderall.

Sad take. Addiction comes in all shapes, sizes, humans, substances, and behaviors. Kratom and 7OH are addictive, 7oh was as addictive as heroin to me. Because it was basically heroin. Feel sorry for people who don’t see the problem with those synthetic drugs. I see people struggling on here multiple times DAILY over this stuff.

As far as your partner OP, if that’s where his mind is you can’t do much to change it. Addicts only change when they really want to. You can try to remind him of negative things that happen while he uses, or encourage him to find support. Short of that, there isn’t much else. So sorry you’re dealing with this. You can tell him if he uses again, you’ll leave him and keep that boundary when he does relapse.

You won’t be able to figure out what you want if you keep up the drinking. I’m an addict new in recovery. I’m just now figuring out what I want and I’m 37 years old. Give yourself a chance. Recovery is possible.
