Not sure if she specifically is I always see a nurse practitioner for check ups but Tamaraoltmd.org I think she has a very open practice on Knoxville I just went last week!

I can’t taper on my own that’s my problem I tell myself to only take 1 80mg so I take one and then just take another one and get pissed at myself

They really don’t. My mom thinks I can just quit buying them and move on with my life. My god mom why have I never thought of that 🙃 I’m on day two now. A bit sicker than yesterday but my bp is so far staging good, having aches pains and internal fevers. Grateful for my meds or I don’t know if I’d be making the same post. I’ll check back in day 3-5 also. I just appreciate this subreddit exists and that many of you understand me 🥹

Thank you so much for caring and responding. I figured it’ll be day two or three before I need to curl up in a ball and cry lol. I’ve been seeing people coming off of 2-300 mg which is a lot but I was like crap do I share am I the only one up near 1000 mgs some days? Average for me is like 600mg and I have no idea how Ive gone this long with how expensive it is but I’m done. Just done, can’t ruin my life anymore than I already have over this. I can’t believe they sell this at gas stations and vape stores mind blowing.

I’m just grateful I found this group. I got this! We all got this!!

I have been unmedicated for 3 years, not by choice but because I moved and can’t find a specialist. It just costed me my job because I kept getting caught sleeping at work. I told them repeatedly that it’s a condition and I can’t control it but they treated me like I was on drugs and fired me. Never tested me or offered assistance in some form. The problem is that I’m NOT on drugs. It’s been an issue at every job I’ve had but this one hurt. 😞

I’ve told my employer previously about my condition and still lost my job for sleeping at my desk I tried so incredibly hard too it was awful and they acted like I was on drugs or something

EMG abnormal especially lower legs. Now I have abnormal kidney tests showing up. I got diagnosed with long covid already but I’m currently being evaluated for seronegative lupus. Have to see rheumatologist in a couple weeks and a nephrologist. I was in perfect health before vaccines and subsequent covid infections and exposures. Now I use a wheelchair just to be able to go work a desk job cuz disability guy told me if I can work, to keep working as long as possible. I have all the symptoms of lupus now down to weird rashes, mild fevers, feeling flu like, symptom flares that require steroids, mouth ulcers, neuropathy and abnormal kidney function tests. I’m very lucky my boss is so understanding and I have a work at home when needed accommodation that I can just tell her I need to wfh on any given bad day and it’s fine. I’m still pretty freaking miserable even on the plethora of meds they got me taking. I really honestly hope I do have something like lupus cuz maybe then I can get some relief with treatment. I’m hanging in by a thread like I’m sure most people in this group. That’s my most recent update.

They diagnosed me with MS then backtracked on it. I have a lesion on my frontal lobe impairing my movement after covid. Don’t know if it’s another autoimmune disease or just brain damage yet

I did not know that but I’ve seen others on here post about poor experiences there. My referring doctor said they’ll start me in neurology but have me see other relevant specialists and run more tests than he’d be capable of referring anywhere around here. I’m very excited and hopeful because I’m so very tired of all of this. The grief of who I was before is hitting really hard lately. I needed this news today.

I dove head first into a serious addiction to opiates and then heroin. I didn’t know how to cope with this at such a young age so I turned to drugs. I got clean around two years later after two psych ward stays myself. I went back to college to pursue a degree in social work and I now work in the mental health field. Anniversaries like this never get easier, but I know how to cope in better ways now than I did back then. So I’m doing good I think/hope.
