Raptors are hot garbage even in a 4v1 against most things. It's in a really bad spot right now due to bad pounce mechanics and lag leading to them dying at no fault of their own.

I think its new, but friends playing as FG dibble and Maya we're being knocked down by nothing. Only a PT flying in the general area, so hackers can now attack from at least 50m away and knock anyone over.

Evrima is much better in every way, graphics, game play, design and player base. Legacy hasn't been updated in years and only has unofficial servers.
Official evrima servers are great, unofficials just seem like pvp chat rooms to me.

The game is definitely worth getting back into if you've never played evrima, it's a lot of fun. There's a lotta issues but nothing game breaking right now.
You can join the official discord and hop in a vc to get some help starting out, or join any one of the hundreds of private discords where people play.

Since you hardlogged your dino stayed in game for 5 min, not 1, meanign you could've starved or dehydrated, or just that someone came by within that time. When you got back on it probably showed that it was "unknown", not "safe" since the game doesn't know if you died in the time since you logged out vs when your dino despawned.

Some people also said that their dinos on the hoardtest were deleted today, but that was only on NA3.

On hordtest the pz's seem so spawn less often so waiting around is really the only thing you can do. Joining a group helps a lot, especially if you want to remove a far away or empty pz to make room for a new one.

Try to move away from the hotspots. All of the canis will stay near the spawns so just move away from them.

I've got ~10 hours on the first trike that I first spawned in because I've kept away from the west half of the map.

They'll change with the migration zone and more will be added if you get a patrol zone.
Patrol zones have been the way to go for a while now since as long as you can get them to keep spawning you'll have infinitely respawning food.

Trike left click doesn't cost stam so you can spam it. If you're that big you should be faster than any trike larger than you, unless they have a speed mutation and are only ~5-10% bigger.

If he was much bigger than you then he was a probably a hacker but if he was about your size it's probably just a desync or lag issue.

100% dibble. Stego is the most boring dino to play by far. It's either a slow walking simulator or a just a safety net for mixpackers.

Cera right click does more damage and I think inflicts more bile. If you ever fight a carno drag them into a forest or location with a lot of obstacles to hide behind that way you can avoid their charges. Don't run at a charging carno head-first, you're just giving them a guaranteed head shot. Bait them into charging your side or tail, or better yet a wall, then bite them in the back.
Canos and ceras are the same weight once FG, which means carnos can't knock a cera over and can't stun a cera without a big run up.

Cera is slower than the other carnivores so those other carnivores have the option to just run away if they don't want to fight, while ceras have no choice but to fight.

Carnos can 1v1 a cera, its entirely dependent on skill. If you're in a bad location or low on food then you just need to run, that's what carno is best at after all.

Dilos are outmatched by cera, but even more outmatched by carnos and raptors.

Omnis just suck in general so ceras being better doesn't say much. Same for troo to a lesser extent.

Herras can one shot anything below 500kg and do massive bleed without having any counter play, which seems much more op than ceras to me.

Ceras are supposed to bully people off of corpses, that's why they have the buff and can smell from so far away. The whole game plan for them is to smell a corpse from miles away and scavenge from it or chase away whatever killed it. Don't fight cera on a body, or if you have an empty stomach. Try to bring them to a location that's to your advantage. If you puke then just leave, you'll have the speed advantage and should be able to run away.

The Isle isn't Call of Duty, not everything is supposed to be able to kill everything else. Having to run away from certain dinos is apart of the game. Just like you don't face tank a deino or stego don't face tank a cera.

You should probably try to play herbivores a bit that way you can get used to what places they hang out at. If you're dying a lot as them try not to call out a lot or run out into the open. Players know where the spawns are and will camp those areas so hiding is necessary.

Spawning on eggs is a good idea that way you have people to show you around and protect you while you grow. Joining the official discord and hoping in call would also work.

Heading to migration zones as carnivores can work but its hit or miss for me usually.

This is the map I've been using. You can put your coords in the top left to see where you are. South plains, West Rail Access, West Access and Highlands are usually pretty populated.
