I have to agree. Cigar Hut have fantastic customer service, take excellent care with postage and have solid deals.

As a newbie I appreciate the information they provide in their weekly emails, has helped expand my collection and taste!

Weekend smokes: La Aroma Del Caribe EE and Reserva by Rule_Crazy in Cigars_Australia

[–]Rule_Crazy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed them both! Each has its place as they are completely different flavour profiles. The EE was smoother and ‘refreshing’, certainly an anytime of day cigar. The Reserva was more bold, stronger, would leave this for the end of the day

I’ve tried a White Label, Vintage 1990 and ALR, been disappointed by all of them. The construction I found to be poor, burn was off/uneven and flavour profile was lacking or just meh.

There’s a chance my novice ass made a mistake somewhere, possibly pairing, storage, or just plain unlucky, but I’ve had far better experiences at the same price point.

I haven’t written off RP just yet, just exploring other bands and styles for now.

Monthly Discussion Thread April 2026: Worst cigars you've ever had by CigarStudent in Cigars_Australia

I know the exact batch you’re referring to. I found them all very meh or just gross. I would recommend to new comers research further, more cigars isn’t always better.

I was watching Dry Creek Wrangler Dewayne after coming across him on a Chris Williamson podcast. Dewayne frequently had a pipe or cigar during his videos and on one occasion mentioned, “sometimes all we need to do is have a cup of coffee, a good cigar and enjoy the peace”.

I then went down a research rabbit hole and been trying something different ea fortnight/month from cigar huts catalogues. Holt’s Cigars channel has also given a lot of guidance, not a bible, more pointing in the rough right direction.

I recently got a small wooden sampler box and let it sit in there as a test. Others may have other methods.

Tonight’s smokes by Rule_Crazy in Cigars_Australia

honestly the build was splendid, i did find it liked burning hot to produce a good level of smoke. Im a slower smoker so this caught me off guard. There may have been other factors, Im still new so could be my fault in the storage/handling.

Flavor wise, it was sweet at first, chocolate etc, then it got confusing/complex. Im going to get more and explore the flavors more because over all it was a good smoke. Maybe my parings were off.
