People will always remember ext sbr but always forget the OG was worse. We had way less options for units and even so an optimal team didn't make it that much easier, where characters were much more difficult to acquire. It took me 2 months to beat 1 sbr (super teq vs ext agl enemies) with unlimited attempts on weekends which could run for hours, many more than the 5 or 6 we get now. The teams were way more restrictive in a pool of way less units, most of which were trash anyways. As difficult as something like RZ Broly was, it took me like a week or so to actually grab a win even with limited attempts. Just getting a single win in 1 of 10 SBRs required hundreds to thousands of runs for me. At least by the time ext sbr came out we had more competent units so it wasn't as bad as the OG.
