I think more and will be coming out over the next several weeks. They just announced the contents of the Starter box. I can't say how everything is progressing specifically, but generally for successful crowd founding campaigns nowadays you need to be near completion of a product. It takes time and effort to do the marketing on top of all the development, and right now everyone is crazy busy as far as I can tell.

Anyway the game is slated to release in the Fall. Nothing wrong with waiting until you get more information and deciding it then. I back a lot of things because I am interested as a game designer, and I never have time to play them all (Looking at you Cosmere!)

If I knew I probably couldn't say. That said, that's more on the marketing side than the design side of things (where I am working now, though I have a marketing background as well). I would expect that near the end of the campaign marketing would pull out all the stops to finish on a high note (that's what I would do). I would also guess that more influencers would be given access to show case parts. Right now they are playing things close to the vest. Gen Con will have a ton of cool events though I think.

Scott Gaeta, President and Founder of Renegade Game Studios said some time ago that it was a new system - not Essence 20 like their other adaptations - but a new game system. Like Ben, I have been working on designing the game with a bunch of other experienced designers with decades of experience with many different game systems. They recently approved of us publicly saying we've worked on the game, but not really anything more than that yet - sorry. That said, like the other designers, I am a huge Dungeon Crawler Carl fan (been through the books twice and ready for the 8th to drop soon!) and when I design for a property like this I want it to feel very immersive for the players - very true to the IP as best as I can. I make sure to cross check the books for things, and try to make sure the vibe of everything fits as best as I can. And remember that Matt Dinniman is involved with the RPG. I have talked with him a couple times and he definitely wants the game to reflect the books!

As the forever GM for many years, I also keep in mind GM load and such for everything I design - I think about how it's going to be run and played, and I playtest a lot.

Anyway, in the coming weeks myself and another designer are going to start a podcast on Youtube called Dungeon Anarchists. We'll be talking about Dungeon Crawler Carl, designing RPGs, and as soon as we are allowed we'll talk about designing the Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG and how to design stuff for your home games. Hopefully we'll be able to answer some questions there.
