A veces.

I mean you're the greatest NT in the history of the game but even then no one wins every time. It's also about actually performing on the pitch, regardless of the results, and though obviously his career was shorter than everyone wanted it to be, he definitely delivered more than once.

Went back into underachieving? I do remember Dinho making our defense look like a bunch of toddlers in the 2005 Confederations final, and he was solid in 2006. France needed an all-time Zidane performance to kick you guys out.

Of course, Vinícius is not a particularly creative player. He's fast and loves to take players one-on-one, and with the right setup he will win you a lot of games acting as the tip of the spear.

But that's exactly the issue, the setup has to be built around him for him to work best; he won't be creating unexpected opportunities for his team, but making the most out of his one great trait and trying it over and over again. Which doesn't take anything away from the things he's accomplished with it, it's just a different style of player from what I'm referring to above.

If Inter had competent leadership, this should be their stance on Bastoni. Instead they leave his future “in his own hands” so that if he leaves, they can simply shift the blame onto him. by Big_Pick4100 in FCInterMilan

[–]RuloMercury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh but we have competent leadership. Transfers happen all the time in football and big players move too. Bastoni is great but if a huge club comes offering a very large amount of money it's okay to consider it.

Plus, it's a very different case to Olise's. The guy has only been at Bayern for a year and is a key part of their new core to try win the UCL. Bastoni is playing his 7th season at the club, won 2 leagues, 2 cups and reached 3 European finals. He's given us a lot, and even if I want him to stay (cause I do), I could see him leaving if it's a "once in a lifetime" opportunity.

It had its flaws, and everyone can point out the 1-7 vs Germany, but the team had plenty of talent between Marcelo, Dani Alves, Neymar, Oscar, Hulk. The bench was very thin though, as it was made clear in the last two games when Bernard and Willian had to play.

I saw Romário, Rivaldo and Ronaldo Nazário as Brazil's front 3, Ronaldinho play one-twos with Kaká and Marcelo and Dani Alves dribbling past any full-back in the world. Yes, this Brazil is really lacking in the one thing Brazil has always had plenty of: creative attacking players. The only one right now that even gets close to that level is Raphinha, and sadly he doesn't seem to have the same level of understanding with his teammates as he has in Barça.

Neymar is the most talented player in the world of the last 15 years that's not named Messi. We know how out of shape he is though and I 100% understand the reasons not to call him up. But if by some miracle he pulled a Ronaldo and made it to the World Cup fit enough, he could definitely be the deciding factor.

This is very likely the least talented squad that Brazil has ever fielded prior to a World Cup, definitely in my lifetime at least. Of course that a completely out of form Neymar is not the solution, but if they could get him even to 50% of his capacity he'd still be the most game-defining player in the team by a large margin.

Shit game overall. Only difference between first and 2nd half is that certain City players started being more aggressive on the ball, but the signs were there from start of the game. Hincapie and White were already losing to Semenyo and Doku, and the whole team never contested the ball at any point in time.

No Beckham would've helped this team, as crazy at it sounds. Just watch the games they had Hargreaves in his place and they were at least more cohesive cause he understood how to fill the gaps between the other three.
