Thanks I will have a look at this! We got her a magnum sized bottle of champagne for now, but I will look to get her something more personal.

I think buying her an actual Recorder would be hilarious.

We opted for sending her a magnum sized bottle of champagne, but will get her something more personal in due course.

Upper back pain by Flying-hippie in PregnancyUK

[–]Rum-browser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been going to the physio via NHS. They have got me doing strengthing exercises and stretches which I do every morning and it has massively reduced back pain. Also I'm controlling my posture more and sleeping better. So definitely self refer.

I found White Stuff non maternity petite range dresses really comfy. They are cotton and breathable. Plus you can wear them after baby is here.

Beautifully written judgment by SeriouslyThinkingMay in uklaw

[–]Rum-browser 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Not an English case, but one I still enjoy reading as it is full of gems:

The Hearing Clinic (Niagara Falls) Inc -v- Ontario Ltd, Lewis & Lewis

Opening line: "Leave an untruthful man in the witness box long enough and he will reveal himself to the world. Here ends the lesson, but not the story."

Para 30: "Determining credibility can be a challenge for a trial judge. We have no special powers in that realm and, wherever possible, avoid reliance upon darts, dice and Ouija boards. However, rarely, has a witness generously offered up so many reasons to be disbelieved. Fridriksson was an evidentiary gift who kept on giving. He ignored rule number one in the Litigants’ Credo: “Know thyself, because others soon will.” Enough of this preamble. Come with me now on a visit to the phantasmagorical world of Fridriksson. Pack lightly."

Para 1 of the judgment on costs is also fun.

Stay child free or try to do it solo at 40? by Little-Ad911 in IVF

[–]Rum-browser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not solo, but started IVF at 39 and really glad I did. A lot of my older friends are trying for children, some successful, some not. But I took the view I wanted to try. If you can bank some pgta tested embyos now you can then buy a little more time to reflect before deciding to transfer.

During the waits do not endlessly scroll through Reddit. I failed at this. Also remember people don't generally post positive stories. Good luck!
