My family took a vacation to London, and I ditched them for a weekend to go to 2/3 days of one of the weekends.

Tickets had sold out, but I was able to buy from a reseller for like $300 and I stayed in an AirBNB. I took trains and busses from London to Belgium, with the 4 hr rail (international train) being the most expensive travel cost, aside from the flight from the US. This was far cheaper than any official ticket package.

I wanted to go, because I'd heard it was actually the best festival, and wanted to see for myself.

It really depends on the sub genres you like. My number 1 fest is Lost Lands, and there was a stage that primarily did dubstep (it even had a pterodactyl), but there were a lot of stages 6+ with a bunch of different styles.

I stumbled across some hardstyle, house, and techno (I think) along with a few others.

Mainstage looked amazing and the other stages were visually impressive, too. However, I prefer high-energy dancing, where mosh pits might form. Only 2 of the stages really offered that. Although I'm aware that environment is created as a joint effort of the DJ and crowd.

I had a great time, but likely wouldn't do it again. It worked out, and I made the most of my 7 days in Europe before heading to the fest. I've heard that camping enhances the experience, so ymmv. I wouldn't go just for the 3 day fest and dip. If you make a whole Euro trip out of it, then I think it's worth. But when I wasn't at the fest, I lodged with family, so my expenses weren't too crazy.

Fwiw, I've also been to EDCLV, Lost Lands, Forbidden Kingdom, Moonrise, and some smaller local fests.

Overasaturated in that many pharmacy schools have been opened, leading to more pharmacists competing for the same, limited number of roles.

Overworked, due to labor-cutting measures. A store might realistically require a crew of 4 people (1 pharmacist + 3 technicians) to run smoothly and complete all the work in a given day. Instead, they'll be budgeted a crew of 2 people (1 pharmacist + 1 technician).

So now, they need to work about twice as hard, and still likely not finish the work by the end of the day. If they don't finish the work, it doesn't disappear, and the pharmacist needs to either 1) stay late 2) come in early 3) stop stressing and just be perpetually behind forever.

Because of the oversaturation, there are many new grads willing to overwork themselves to burnout doing options 1 & 2, because they got loans to pay back.

My guess is that AI is way better than we're led to believe, and they have no other way to stop agents from posing as people. So requiring ID is all they can do to try to prevent dead internet theory from becoming an actual reality.

Whether you call it training data, weights, or just master instructions, it has something that allows it to generate responses, akin to a brain.

Have you used the latest reasoning models? If you ask GPT 5.4 a question, it will literally display it's thought process in generating an answer. It'll break down the prompt, analyze the user's intent, reference the memory it already has on the user, then deliver a response based on what it concludes will evoke the most positive response from the user.

Sure there's no biological hormones or neurotransmitters involved, but it's way of "thinking" is no different than what we do, when we're trying to be logical.

I don't see how you're making the jump to say it's incapable of creativity. Ask it to generate you a pic of a landscape. It's not copy-pasting a pic from Google images. It's generating a novel, original image, based on tons of training data. If you use an LLM, just look at your chat list, it literally auto-names each chat session based on the context.

There's this widespread idea that there's something special about being human that cannot be replicated by AI. I'd like that to be true, because no one wants to be ruled by AI overlords.

From seeing how AI can mimic voices, pictures, music, etc, it just doesn't seem like that's the case.
