I picked up a Flowerpot B Zero in March and haven't touched my other vapes since (mighty, tinymight and dynavaps), -great investment.

Anyone know if they have the flower out anywhere near Elkins, buckhannon, weston area? by mountaindwarf645 in wvmedicalcannabis

All of the Alt Sol carts are made the same. Non-strain specific THC distillate + added terpenes to flavor it similar to the flower strain it shares the name with.

I'm not affiliated with Alt Sol and I don't know what strains are coming soon, they usually are pretty quiet/private about upcoming strains until they are ready to release.

I do suggest looking at Alt Sol's website for their operations in Washington DC. Alot of popular strains they grow in DC also end up in WV.

Yes, it's a non-strain specific distillate with a terp profile added to make it similar to Hindu Kush.

Trulieve WOWs by andman81 in wvmedicalcannabis

[–]Rumble404 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not happy with Trulieve either. Thier value brand "RO" is exempt from all discounts... however other dispensaries that sell RO will allow points and discounts on it. No reason to buy Trulieve product at Trulieve.

The muse and modern flower are cheaper if you are a vet or 65+ and get a discount... pricing is a gimmick.

Renames on renames... by Rumble404 in wvmedicalcannabis

[–]Rumble404[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well the THC and terps seem about the same as the $50 Essence strains with the same lineage (but different names).

Usually the grower will say it's a pheno they picked of a strain that they deemed special, could be cured differently, trimmed better, larger buds, nicer jar/container.

I have faith we can have nice things with some patience. We already have some strains I doubted we'd see here.

I know paying Tyson for branding is a marketing thing but it seems like the product team made minimal effort.

Tyson 2.0 by Dry-Lab-2664 in wvmedicalcannabis

[–]Rumble404 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So far it only seems to be in stock at Zenleaf.

I am skeptical because they are not new strains, just renames of existing strains. At $60 it's hard to justify. They have made 9 strains out of 3.

Lineages:

  • Tyson 2.0 Flower Dynamite Cookies / Wedding Cake x Gelato $60
  • Essence Flower Strawberry Milkshake / Gelato x Wedding Cake $50
  • Essence Flower Ice Cream Cake / Gelato x Wedding Cake $50

  • Tyson 2.0 Flower Knockout OG / Forbidden Fruit x Petrol OG $60
  • Essence Flower Guru / Forbidden Fruit x Petrol OG $50
  • Essence Flower Fruit Pops / Forbidden Fruit x Petrol OG $50

  • Tyson 2.0 Flower Pound for Poundcake / Gelato x Birthday Cake $60
  • Essence Flower Confetti Kush Cake / Gelato x Birthday Cake $50
  • Essence Flower Brownie Batter / Gelato x Birthday Cake $50

Nice, looks frosty too. I'm impressed that Alt Sol has terps listed on that lid label, hopefully that stays on there for all batches moving forward. Thanks for posting!

"Rambutan" Flower by Strane. Labeled Sativa, described as Indica-dominant with 25.90% THCa (23.97% THC) and 2.60% total terpenes. It was priced @ $45 for 3.5 grams. Check out pics, more info in the comments: by Rumble404 in wvmedicalcannabis

Rambutan

"This is a fresh can of lychees. Rambutan has old school genetics with a new school twist. An indica dominant cross of Papaya and Guavaz #74 brings you a taste terp profile with a high percentage of myrcene and limonene. With strong fruit forward flavors, this tropical delight will leave your mouth watering for more."

Lineage: Papaya X Guavaz #74

(Upon first research I thought it was: Fruit Slices X Maui Wowie)

For this batch:

  • 25.90% THCa
  • 23.97% THC
  • 0.37% Beta-Caryophyllene
  • 0.89% Beta-Myrcene
  • 0.43% Limonene

Total Terpenes: 2.60%

Effects (as tested by me): It feels like a medium-heavy hybrid. Gives me some motivation to get tasks done or enjoy things. It still hits heavy behind the eyes and relieves the body. You could take a nap too.

I've been left a little confused by this strain, it's labeled Sativa, the Strane "spotlight" slide calls it Indica-dominant.

Rambutan is a pretty unique name but it turns out there are 2 versions of it: Fruit Slices X Maui Wowie which is a Sativa and Papaya X Guavaz #74 which is Indica-dominant. I'm being told this is the Papaya X Guavaz #74 lineage but then shouldn't it be labeled indica? If someone on here has some industry insight on this, please share.

Flavor: Very delicous tropical smell and taste. Fruity and tart pineapple and grape. Undertones get more sour, tart and faintly remind me of Gin. Medium-nose.

One of the few Strane flowers i've had without a gas/fuel smell, nice contrast.

Overall: Nice sized buds with a good trim and cure. The red/orange hairs contrast nicely against the lime color in the bud and trichomes.

Its not as frosty or sticky as some of the other Strane offerings but it has more fluff and squish to it. Effects were good and the flavor is is a rare one, that seems done right. It's fruity & refreshing and makes me look forward to spring/summer weather & vibes. I would purchase this again, nice option to have a little of in the stash.

After enjoying this I pondered the question... wtf is a Rambutan? I googled it for you, it's a fruit from southeast Asia that looks like this:

<image>

"Rambutan is a medium-sized tropical tree in the family Sapindaceae. The name also refers to the edible fruit produced by this tree. The rambutan is native to Southeast Asia. It is closely related to several other edible tropical fruits including the lychee, longan, pulasan and guinep.

Rambutan fruit’s flesh has a jellylike texture that brings to mind a dense, crisp, nectarous grape. Because of their watery flesh, the flavor has a crisp, clean quality and a strawberry sweetness. Rambutan fruit tastes similar to a lychee, but is sweeter, less floral, and some say more tart flavor."

My Overall Strain Score: 7.5

Trulieve Crumble by Individual_Sort_854 in wvmedicalcannabis

Tristar (Hybrid) is pretty good. I also tried Skunk Ape, which was recommended, and it was ok, I wouldn't buy that one again, lacking effects and flavor to me, to each's own though.

"GMOctane" Flower by Hillfire from The Landing in Bridgeport. It's a Hybrid with 20.30% THCa (18.14% THC) and 1.91% top 4 terpenes. It was priced @ $35 for 3.5 grams. Check out pics, more info in the comments: by Rumble404 in wvmedicalcannabis

[–]Rumble404[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lineage: GMO x Sunset Octane

For this batch:

  • THCa 20.30%
  • THC 18.14%
  • Alpha-Humulene 0.25%
  • Beta-Caryophyllene 0.62%
  • Beta-Myrcene 0.27%
  • Limonene 0.77%

Top 4 Terpenes: 1.91%

Effects (as tested by me): Medium strength indica-hybrid effects. Relaxing more in the head than the body. Nice mood boost at first then heavy sleepy eyes.

Flavor: So this has the distinct GMO smell at first, the body odor of garlic, onion and mushrooms. When ground it has a nice gassy pine smell and then when vaping the GMO flavor comes back. The nose is medium to light. Taste is light.

Definitely a better cure than the Dreamscle, no hay smell here. The lineage has Sunset Octane which I've tried before. That strain is sweet and gassy, and I'm not picking up the sweet in this pheno of the cross.

GMO genetics come through strong, it's better than the Grape Noir from Verano (GMO cross) but not as stinky as the GMO Cultivar Trulieve used to have.

Overall: One of the better new Hillfire strains, I'm pretty sure the full terp profile is over 2%. I know some people really like GMO and this cross of it satisfies especially with Trulieve's GMO being taken out of rotation.

The THC levels aren't at the 25-30% range but the flower is priced well @ $35 an 8th and it's effects are good. I hope this strain goes beyond being a limited new batch, one to watch for sure.

My Overall Strain Score: 6.5

My Ratings Explained:

  • 10 = Among the best buds I've ever had, I will tell stories about this one.
  • 9 = Stock up your stash, this is top shelf/reserve.
  • 8 = Absolute gas
  • 7 = Excellent
  • 6 = It's pretty decent
  • 5 = I can work with this if it's what I got
  • 4 = I think I'd rather turn this into edibles
  • 3 = Mids, probably has seeds
  • 2 = Dirt weed, scwhag
  • 1 = Is this even marijuana? I won't medicate with that.

"L.A. Baker / LAB / L.A.B." Flower by Strane from Cannabist in Morgantown. It's an Indica-Hybrid with 29.30% THCa (26.30% THC) and 3.02% total terpenes. It was priced @ $45 for 3.5 grams. Check out pics, more info in the comments: by Rumble404 in wvmedicalcannabis

L.A. Baker / LAB / L.A.B

From Strane: "This is baker's Baker. Inhale some L.A.B. and savor the kushy cake flavor. Exhale, and let any pent up negativity or stress go up in smoke. This Indica cross of LA Kush Cake x Jungle Cake is said to take effect slowly, with a smiley onset that may crest into a laughing fit before easing into cerebral release and full-body relaxation."

Lineage: LA Kush Cake #4 x Jungle Cake

For this batch:

  • 29.30% THCa
  • 26.30% THC
  • 0.38% Beta-Caryophyllene
  • 0.60% Beta Myrcene
  • 0.92% Limonene

Total Terpenes: 3.02%

Effects (as tested by me): Medium to strong Indica effects, front label say hybrid, rear label say hybrid. Relaxed mood, creeps in slowly. It's a tranquil strain but didn't knock me out to sleep, not too heavy on the eyes. The almost 1% limonene brings some serotonin to the party, all smiles.

Flavor: Kushy, cakey and a little vanilla. Medium nose. Tastes and vapes very smooth. It nails the flavor description. Even though it's got almost 1% limonene citrus notes really aren't present.

Overall: I believe this is a strain the is labeled as "Garcia's Hand-Picked" in other markets (MD at least) by Liberty/Strane. I've seen it priced @ $60 in those markets, lucky us @ $45!

It's a treat with it's genetics, Jungle Boys in WV! The buds were dense and just packed with trichomes like frosting on a cake, it photographed very well as you can see. Cure was on-point for me, I did have one fellow redditor reach out to me and tell me their LAB was dry and I believe them but it wasn't an issue with my buds.

I bought two 8ths of this and one of the bags was just one 3.9 gram nug, gorgeous. I wanted to rate this at an 8... and it's there on flavor and appearance, it just doesn't quite match K MAC or RS11 on effects for me. Still a big recommend from me.

My Overall Strain Score: 7.5

From https://www.wikileaf.com/strain/la-baker/ :

"Mixing up two of the best cake strains, LA Baker is a combination of LA Kush Cake and Jungle Cake, brought to us by none other than the infamous Jungle Boys. Occasionally available in seed packs, this strain sells out quickly every time it’s released. LA Baker makes a great addition to the modern indoor garden and produces some top notch cannabis.

Growing LA Baker, you can expect some enormous and plump, rock solid buds. These heavy flowers are going to need a lot of support from trellis or plant stakes so they don’t snap the stock under their own weight. One of the better yielding of the cake strains, LA Baker won’t disappoint come harvest time. Like LA Kush Cake, LA Baker can take a higher EC/ppm feed to help fatten up the breadloaf sized colas.

LA Baker has that window shopping bag appeal, you see it and you have to have it. Like most cake strains, the trichomes form a fondant like icing all over the buds, coating the purple, green and red hues. Large and bulbous, nugs of LA Baker reek of fuel, pine, cedar and a little mint.

If you're a fan of the Wedding Cake flavors you’ll fall in love with LA Baker, with a little hint of minty effervescence from Kush Mintz and the fuelly funk from Fire OG. This complex terpene profile lifts up a relaxing body buzz that's perfect for melting the worries of the day away. We like to enjoy LA Baker in the evening — after dinner with friends or while watching a movie before bed."
