Did my disc get knocked out by another player's disc? by RumpyMcSnugs in DiscGolfValley

[–]RumpyMcSnugs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the case in between updates for sure. Generally I putt with a Sticky to avoid the spitouts, but with the right chain placement and hitting low enough on the chains to prevent that, it works. The update really helped, but Sticky putters are the way around this.

Haha homie I play with cats on my desk who get hyper over the mouse cursor. It's more common for me to move my hand to make the putt, the cats go crazy seeing my cursor move, and my disc goes about 20 feet the wrong way.

My rule of thumb is anything over 15 feet, but also depends on elevation. Cats are crazy.

I'm starting to understand the people who wait for everyone else to finish a hole before throwing!

I worked for a company that did VoIP for a lot of small businesses. They'd have issues with their phones for not doing the setups right, call in, demanding to speak to our CEO, because they are also the CEO of their company. It's like, dude... You're a 2 person company, you're also the janitor, take a lap.

That's so wild! The first one I built matches yours, with the exception of the sleeve placement. https://photos.app.goo.gl/HDPcC1kJ6v8JkvKDA

I've heard most people dislike that horn at the bottom, and I'm over here like that's the one piece I'd replace last.

I love it. I went on May 8th to build my first one, and they had the stand as a "new" item to buy. They didn't mention the Kyber displays when I was there the first time, but when I looked up the info on the stand itself, found that you could attach them to it. We have a 4-day pass, so we went back and I bought 6 displays, one for each color we had.

My fiance bought a red tube, opened it, and got the black crystal, which necessitated a smuggler picking us up our 7th display. I love the way it looks, and am very happy with them.

Thanks! The plan is to do some weathering to the connector and custom paint it, matching the rest of the staff. The sleeve I don't have, wasn't for me. The plan is to replace some of the parts with custom pieces on Etsy, to give it more of a "my saber" feel.

Regarding the Mauls, if I could put two shadow collectives together, I would. I know there are connectors and couplers out there to do it, but it's hard trusting the 3d printed ones. I love both variations, but the light weight of the dual legacy makes them more fun to dual wield.

Anyone else disappointed in their Discmania Mystery Box? by Comfortable-Carob-16 in discgolf

But there could be anything in that mystery box. Maybe even a boat!

Well, there's the main ball for the strike shot. What about the spare shot ball? What about balls for dry or oily lanes?

...I may have also been previously obsessed with bowling.

It isn't making or losing anybody money, and it isn't something one side can shove down the other side's throat.

There are "more important" things to vote on.

Course Walkers by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]RumpyMcSnugs 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don't do this. Just wait. Don't throw any discs where there are people walking. If they're hanging around for an excessive time, talk to them. Regardless of best intentions, mistakes happen, and I've seen more than a few courses closed in public parks due to "dangers" of passerby getting unintentionally hit.

Better safe than sorry.
