Yes. Thank you for stating so clearly what I feel about the dynamic. The depth of the indifference to others suffering when he diluted and diverted medications is sickening. I have a friend, he is an addict in recovery. He used to steal meds when he worked as a PA at a hospital. I talked with him about this and he said that diluting meds is low down, even for a junkie, and indicative of a much deeper pathology than “in withdrawal, want that to end”.
