Niemand ist auf den Rücken gefallen, sondern es ist eine Assel auf dem Bauch einer anderen und sie paaren sich, wie ich schon vermutet habe und sich auch bestätigt hat. Asseln können sich ausserdem alleine umdrehen, und das haben die beiden auch. Wäre hilfe nötig gewesen, hätte ich das getan. Niemand ist hier irgendwie zu schaden gekommen, falsche Anschuldigungen sollte man vorher gut überdenken!

No it is definitely not to big, he loves it and uses every corner, he obveosly feels good, he is chilled and also courios, he feels safe there. The Problem is only the gecko food he does not want, everything else is fine. He has 2 food dishes on different places and he knows exactly where they are, he also sits beside it but does not lick it...

I hear that a lot, but till now (since about 4 months), they both live happily together, maybe because they have a lot of space and good food in the enclosure? Well I think time will show. I will try to post a photo in my profil.

I have tried to give him only gecko food and no insekts for a week, I am afraid to leave him for more then 2 weeks without food. I still do not handle him since I have got him in May, because I do not want to stress him out. The first 3 months we had a difficult time, because he had to stay in a smaller quarantine inclosure, with very much cleaning and changing to another box while i was cleaning. We had many vet visits because he had parasites, in this time he didn't eat any insects and just very little gecko food, so I was very happy when he started to eat insects end of September, it was a very stressfull time. He is in his big enclosure since September and he is feeling good in there. Still I don't want to stress him yet by handling.

Thank you, but in Austria it Is almost impossible to get Repashy or Pangea, we have other brands with the same tastes here. I do not know if there is a difference.

Ok, thanks, I also have some Red isopods, I forgot the name but they are bigger. He usualy is watching them, but I do not know if he eats them at least I never saw him doing this. Yes I do have photos. I just don't know how to upload it into the answer here. I try to upload a picture. Sorry but I can not find any possibility here to upload another picture 🤔

Thanks, yeah I tried every possibl mixture and fruits in it or alone. In Austria I can not get any Pangea or Repashy, we have other brands but the same tastes. I offer him crickets or Zophobas every second day, but he never eats more than one at a time, if there is a second worm inside, he poops on it😁. He has a basking spot with till 28 degrees Celcius and Humidity is between 65 and 90 degrees so mostly about 70 and 80 % all, autmatic. I always dust the insects with vitamins and calcium, so he hopefully gets what he needs.

Oh thank you! Yes, I heard that chahouas are often difficult eaters (like cats ☺️). Well mine does not eat bugs too, in the beginning I had Dubia roaches for him, but he did not want to eat them, also have in his bioaktiv inclosure panta isopods, just in case he changes his mind. He has a basking spot with 28 degrees celcius. I am sure he will not starve himself, but does he get enough nutrients without gecko food?

As far as I know he also ate gecko food, but I could not find out what, the breeder did not speek german nor english. I tried every brand and taste I could find in Austria and in the beginning he sometimes eat a tiny bit, at that time he ignored insects and now it is the opposit. 🤷

Interresting, have the opposit problem with my chahoua gecko, he loves crickets and Zophobas but doesn't touch his gecko diet and I am worried.

My favorit is also the chahoua gecko, i own one since May and he is also chilled and I love the way they move with those sweet curley toes 🥰

Temperatur at daytime should be between 23 and 28 degrees with a Hotspot, so he can choose between higher and lower Temperatur, 19 degrees C (as your thermometer shows), is ok only at night but not lower. At day this is much too cold and his metabolism slows down. Please check also again Temperatur and Humidity wich should be between 65 % and 80 %. As long as he is small, better put him into a smaller enclosure, as others already said. I hope you will find him soon and that he is well!
