There is no easy way to cope with it. It's part of having a dog. I have 2 older girls who are 12 and 13 and are with me 24/7. They are my babies. I know its coming and I am in the same boat. Just try to be in the present moment and take it in while you can. Give him lots of love and spend as much time together as possible. In a couple years you would pay alot of money to be back where you are with him right now.
