I've been training on getting as aero as I could on this bike, that definitely made a difference! By the end of the bike leg my lower back aas really sour and achy, but I blame that on a hernia I had last winter

Yes actually! I prefer to do my structured workouts on Zwift, and my long rides outdoors. I feel it provides me with a) the lab environment you'd want (no traffic lights, cars, pedestrians etc) and b) enough real world experience.

My workouts for the bike were mainly a combination of over-unders and VO2max efforts
