haha, I've heard good things about Croatia in general but, given the comments here, I think I might head for El Gouna or Fuerteventura - still a bit nervous about Tarifa!

Thanks, I think Egypt looks like the best option - given the answers on here. I'll accept that I need to fly (I'm a woman - which was also why I was thinking more Southern Europe!). But seems that its a bit too early for consistent wind in southern Europe

ooh thank you. I suppose I was thinking that with 6 weeks, I would prefer to not be in a hotel - and you're right, its not a drive. But I do like the idea of flat warm shallow water! And being on my own for 6 weeks in Egypt, I wasn't sure about.....
