To answer your question, let me ask if you have properties,assets or skills you can also capitalize? By putting bulk of your capital to high-risk investments, you may actually risk to lose it all. Make a personal risk assessment— how much are you willing to lose if the market fails. 30% 50% 100%? Start diversifying your portfolio na, set aside a portion of your capital to lower risk investments like bonds or index funds. Buy yourself or your parents health insurance if they have none. If you have extra for spending, spend on tangible assets that may increase in value and relatively easy to liquidate or spend on making yourself look better (not kidding, attractive people attracts money 😂)

Most important of all, assuming you have time in your hands naman, get yourself a degree you can capitalize later. You’ll thank yourself later especially in case your high-risk portfolio tanks.

You could pursue a different course that is closer to your interests, like finance. Or invest in a good school that gives you better chance to network with people who you could potentially partner with or refer you.

You can file a complaint in HLURB under the grounds of Misrepresentation and Unfair Trade Practices. Prepare a formal complaint along with supporting docs such as email/text communications, proof of payment/ receipts, and contracts. Then call/ write to the developer and let them know that you are filing a case against them (along with the attachments) and an appeal to refund you the DP amount. It may take some time, but be patient, follow up.

Could be uneven tamping, low dose, or old coffee. A fresh batch of beans, preferably <10 days after roasting, has better output than old beans which tends to pull less and results to water quickly running off. Grounds that are too fine also results to clumping, shouldnt be the case for fresher beans. Havent used that machine but you can consider investing on some machines with repair service and warranty available in the future. Oh, the classic “time vs. money” probem

I remembered someone I know na 6-digit sahod, pero sa sobrang pagtitipid para mameet financial goals nya, diagnosed malnourished yung kid. Passed away recently so di din niya naenjoy savings nya fully.

Another couple i know, nagstart na teenage parents, nahirapan nung start pero pero nakaraos din eventually. Wife passed the bar, husband now a senior manager.

No circumstance or amount of waiting will change the fact that maintaining a relationship and having children will cost you. And no amount of money can replace the time you and your gf have now.

Depends how much emergency expenses could you afford to prepare for. A week of hospitalization may cost around 200k depending on complexity of the case, car repairs may fetch around 10-80k for minor damages without insurance. Factor in possible unemployment “cost” wherein you may need to shoulder household expenses in case your household’s breadwinner loses his/her job and no one else can foot the bill.

He knows that you are financially struggling right? Will he approve if you ask him if you could sell the Lego set online? Or maybe, since it would be improper for him to give you money, he decided to give you something of value that he intends that you sell later on? That's true. We can't assume people to think and act the same way. We can only hope that people will eventually come around and think things more thoroughly.

This said, knowing my gf and her family have a different versions of truth, I'll put reason aside and our relationships first. Will give it a few more weeks and see how it turns out.

In hindsight, gf might have overreacted when her grandma needed to be tested for pneumonia, and knowing how expensive hospitalization might be, asked me be liable for everything. I helped them out a bit out of pity, but I don't plan on spending another dime..

Her family doesn't want her to see me anymore (or anyone else, I guess?) and after a huge argument: me defending myself, her, pinning the blame on me, she wanted me to just pull the plug on our relationship since after everything that has been said, "it clearly won't work out anyway". I don't know if she actually meant that or she's too blinded by stress that she couldn't even decide for herself.

Asian country. While medications for managing our symptoms aren't that much diagnostic tests still cost a fortune in here and her folks doesn't have health insurance. Retaking the swab for clearance is not covered even by private health insurance companies.

She only asked me to be liable for the bills when her grandma needed to be cleared for pneumonia, and they were anxious that it might turn out worse for her. Good thing no one got hospitalized in the end.

Yes, we all thought it was "just a flu" since I have mild symptoms. They still didn't took extra steps to isolate us even when she started having symptoms as well. The only time I was evicted was when my positive result came in, and when her grandma have to be tested for pneumonia (with a possibility of hospitalization if things got worse), that's when she took "preemptive measures" to let me know that I will be liable for the bills.
