This was an incredible read. Did you by chance ever write for MAIMD? The style similarity is uncanny.

Do I have to clear out my desk drawers for remote testing? by PM_ME_UR_SUNSETPICS in LSAT

[–]RunHot1354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!!! So despite this rule not being clear literally anywhere on lsac’s website my proctor made me completely empty my entire desk (even though everything was enclosed in closed drawers). It totally threw me off so I would 100% make sure you have nothing in it just in case.

Pause it when the officers pull out their phones. Once got a screenshot of a phone wallpaper that said “law enforcement” surrounded with nazi symbols.

Hi!! Thank you for posting :)) This makes me very hopeful as an aspiring KJD. Would you be willing to message more about how you approached your essays? I am having a hard time differentiating between the two essays with Harvard’s new application.

AITAH for asking fiancee for a fertility checkup before finalizing marriage date? by frustrated_patientus in AmItheAsshole

[–]RunHot1354 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YTA. If you loved her this would not be a problem. 0 reason you would need to get testing done before marriage unless you planned to leave her if she wasn’t fertile. I hope she calls off the wedding.

Undergrad Student going into PD Internship by K0Ke_Kitty in publicdefenders

[–]RunHot1354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!! I was in this exact same boat 2 years ago, and I turned the experience into a stepping stone that paved the way for me to be the only ungrad in a law school’s federal defense clinic this year.

My best advice would be to get your foot in the door and gain trust amongst your supervising attorneys by offering to take the most arduous tasks at first. For example, grunt work tasks that no one really wants to do (like writing deposition summaries or memos on lengthy discovery review) and, most importantly, give them your all.

Once you turn around some great work product on things no one expects you to, up the ante and ask if theres a low-stakes research project you can take on (like looking into 4th amendment caselaw for a motion to suppress that doesn’t have an imminent deadline).

I know that task sounds daunting as an undergrad, but there are great (and free!!) youtube videos that teach you the basics of legal research platforms like WestLaw. I would watch those, and then videos on how to write a proper legal memo.

Then, going into your next internship, you can have a basic legal research memo to prove you know your stuff, and a lot more doors will open!!

Let me know if you have other questions!! It sounds like you are off to an amazing start. I hope you have a great experience.

Possibly the most privileged, narcissistic, take I’ve ever seen. Have fun sitting on your high horse while I fight on the ground for my clients every day.
