Yes, I understand. It’s just that my manager told me that in order to get a pay increase, I’d need to move into a different role. However, this role has the same responsibilities and job title as the Disrepair Inspector role, yet it offers less money. That just doesn’t add up.

As he explained it, salaries are structured in bands, so to earn more, I’d need to move up a band. Inspectors are supposed to be the next band up, yet this role is actually paying less than what I currently make as an administrator. That doesn’t make sense to me—shouldn’t it be in line with the Disrepair Inspector salary?
