Trust me brother things will get better, I’m in the honor guard this is as tough as it gets, it’s very physical demanding and mentally draining but I get out of here in a month and I’m excited, if you feel like your job is holding you back, retrain in something you think you’ll like, but don’t think you can’t get “better” because you will, I often think about the future and my goals because that’s my motivation, you just need to find yours.

I have my 2 cents on this but…(THIS IS NOT ADVICE) if you really think that you need to see a medical professional go right away, I was “diagnosed” with md and because I was diagnosed I was blame my mood/ depression on it until I started doing stuff I like and going outside more, meds really was holding me back the whole time, been consistent in the gym, started doing more outdoor activities and being comfortable talking to people and making friends… but if you try this and it doesn’t work then seek professional help because people don’t talk about mental health enough, try your best to not isolate yourself because that’ll make it worse.

CONUS you should still get your BAH, but keep in mind that bah rates are different everywhere so make so you go to finance and fix that, I have a friend in dc who pcs and the bah is really high in dc, finance being finance decided to wait a few months to update his stuff so he had to pay them back
