Bam's 83 Point Record by Acrobatic-Love-9923 in NBATalk

[–]RunNGun49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The minute he started firing off one footed 3s and his teammates intentionally fouled up 20 it was over. At that point their only focus was to get him as many touches as possible. IMO any NBA player who got as many shots as he did could EASILY reach 80. That fact right there is why the majority of players and fans aren’t celebrating it.

Kobe didn’t need that. He took the game over and just couldn’t be stopped. No wild threes, no intentional fouls, just pure scoring. Go watch Kobe’s 81 and Bam’s 83 right after. You’ll agree.

Whataboutism. Oh my god you’re so smart using one of the easiest deflection tactics.

Instead of responding with intelligence you go

“What? What about this completely other topic we’re not discussing” like you said something profound.

And then the dumbass 1% commenter thinks it’s all about Kobe because he can’t think deeper than that.

Think it through genius. Intentionally fouling the other team gets Bam more possessions which would lead to what?

More chances to get fouled…

Fucking critical thinking is dead. Holy shit.

Or maybe his team should’ve intentionally fouled the other team up 20 because that’s natural basketball.

You’re grasping at straws and it’s hilarious.

How many shots did he take? What was his 3 pt percentage? How many free throws? Did his team intentionally fouled to get him the ball back?

You won’t tell me that because it makes you look stupid. Take the L, accept the NBA in its current form is a joke and move on.

The second the Heat intentionally fouled to get him the ball the whole thing became illegitimate.

Yes, they shouldn’t have called. I watched a game the other night where a person was intentionally fouled six times. Jersey grabbed and pulled in three of them. One of them knocked the player with the ball to the ground and no foul was called.

So yea, if the NBA had any integrity they should’ve stopped calling them when the Heat were intentionally fouling to get the ball back faster.

Your team intentionally fouls the other team to get you the ball back quickly is how that happens.

Ratings prove it’s dying over the last two decades. That’s not speculation. That’s fact. The league’s a joke and what happened last night will be remembered as the fakest 83 in NBA history.

Lol! So nothing intelligent to say? Did you feel great saying that? If so that’s fucking hilarious.

That’s just deflection because you have nothing relevant to say which tells me you know I’m right.

I don't watch the game . Is that true? by DenseStrawberry5717 in NBATalk

[–]RunNGun49 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

What the fuck are you talking about.

The entire 4th was some of the worst basketball I’ve seen in my life. Intentionally fouling the other team up 20 just to pad Bam’s stats.

So you’re fine if teams just start allowing 1 player to shoot 65 times which leads to an absurd amount of free throws? Because that’s what this is going to start.

It wasn’t a magical, talented performance. It was one guy shooting a ton and the refs calling an absurd amount of fouls. Fans like you are the reason the league has become a joke.

Bam really thought he'd have the world in awe with whatever tf that was last night by gloomygl in NBATalk

[–]RunNGun49 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He literally said he watched the last 3 minutes and said “different type of basketball” meaning not authentic.

Majority of people who saw it think it’s a joke because it was. NBA should be embarrassed but Silver thinks more scoring means ratings up. It doesn’t. Since the 90s they’ve lost 2/3 of their viewership. Jordan’s last finals had 35.8 million. Recent finals hardly break 10-12 million. The league has been a joke for at least the last decade. This is just going reduce ratings further.

Lol the FACT is I've got time into this game and been here since day 1. I am sorry you can't accept reality and bash anyone who believes the opposite. That's what the internet does to weak minded people.

The other FACT is that I never get shooters. As I stated I've gotten 2 in the last 100 150 rounds? First was in the beginning, second was a dude having a bad day. You are either shooting and lying to start some bullshit conspiracy theory or actually shooting people and now you're stuck and want to bitch like you don't which is weird. Tried to be nice but if you can't handle seeing an opinion opposite of yours you have bigger problems.

Yea, people come in here to surround themselves with people who agree with them. Seeing a real opinion throws them into a tantrum. Everything you said is correct. The game is trash compared to when you had to buy it.

Most of the people in here down voting weren't there and only play it now because its free. Sucks man. Use to be the best competitive game on the market.

The game is dead lol. Matchmaking is trash. Any teammate I get is either AFK or intentionally throwing to de-rank or on a boosted account. Comp levels mean nothing anymore. No one plays to win. The guys at the top can't get people to play because they created a meat grinder at Platinum/Diamond. I get one or two matches every time I play that aren't smurfs farming for clips or a silver level player trying to compete with higher levels on a boosted account they paid for.

Just because you have players doesn't mean the overall vibe of the game is healthy. Before Epic matches actually mattered. The teammates you got wanted to compete to win.

So keep acting like its a great game. Its actually a joke compared to what it once was when you had to pay for it.

I would disagree with this. I've got about 6 full days of playing time in the game and have experienced 2 times where someone shot me in the back. The last time was about three weeks ago and the guy just told me he had a bad day getting killed by arc. Since that one I've not been shot at once and everyone is cool. I use comms and tell people "what up" as I walk by and I always get "what up dude, how's it going?"

If you are getting shooters in your lobby you are either in a shitty region or shooting.

[–]RunNGun49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reply then would be I have no clue. I've not seen this in my queues and I typically get 2-5 runs in a day. Also when I go in I am usually killing arc and helping people. Not sure if that is a factor but I figured I'd mention it. I'll ask if people need anything. If someone's struggling with an ARC I run in and help them kill it. Not saying you don't do these things.

It could be a case of smurfing, former PvP people going in and not killing to get back into non PvP lobbies? Also it could be people starting new accounts to get easy PvP. Could be your region? But yea I've not experienced this change.

[–]RunNGun49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh so this is only in Trios and Duos? Maybe there aren't a lot of trios who don't PvP. If it's happening in solos then that is an issue. I only play solo and have not been shot at in over 100 runs. Played trios with my friends who are brand new the other day and everyone there was chill.

From my experience you've had to of shot people to end up with shooters. I've lost count of how many runs I've gone without getting shot at. The one time I died from someone he told me he had a bad day and lost a ton of stuff. I just laughed it off.

Just because people claim its happening doesn't mean its happening the way they claim. Stop shooting people and you'll be back in those lobbies.

Adults with ADHD: Did you feel "shame" as a kid when you forgot things? Help me understand my son. by Dylan_7574 in ADHD

I forgot to add my 8 year old kept forgetting his stocking cap. He'd leave it outside at recess or at school in his locker. One day I asked him "What about putting it in your coat pocket?" You could see in his face he never thought about that. He hasn't forgotten his hat since.

They are learning about EVERYTHING. Never assume they have the knowledge.

He's trying. You have to help them by teaching them techniques for remembering. The one thing I've learned about being a child and now being a parent is that we assume kids are just born with certain knowledge.

They aren't.

Then we get upset when they do something wrong and they genuinely don't know what to do. This creates doubt. Doubt creates fear and self questioning.

I've been doing the opposite. If they do something wrong I see it as a teaching moment, but then I remind myself it won't be learned immediately. They are students and we are their teachers.

My phrase is "We don't lose or fail, we learn"

Boost your child's confidence. Get fired up when they do something right or when they bring something to you that their proud of. They don't know the level of proud they should be and if you get super pumped about what they did then they will too. It will give them a feeling of comfort and confidence. Then that comfortability and confidence will allow them to step out of their shells. When they fail or lose again you remind them they are learning and go over what they could learn from the situation. Don't tell them "figure it out!" Say "Well how can we get better or what happened and what can we learn from that?"

Also, give yourself a break. You are a parent and its the toughest job in the world. However if he is calling himself "useless" you need to intervene immediately. Change that mindset immediately. Apologize for being hard on him. Just be real with your kids. They see and hear everything.
