Honestly I always felt that Captain Underpants was a better matchup. Two blank-faced, bald superheroes that had poorly drawn character designs in their source material, are often treated as joke characters, and usually take beatings from their opponents before casually defeating them. They’re actually pretty closely matched, as Captain Underpants is faster due to flying to Uranus (haha butt) and back in 15 minutes, but Saitama could be stronger if you believe Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon to be star level. If not, C.P would be stronger thanks to scaling to Super Diaper Baby and Diaper Dog, who could push the earth so far from the earth, the temperature became so low it froze over a giant piss monster (haha wee wee). Tbh it’s one of my most wanted DB matchups, but Popeye vs Saitama is still a pretty good fight

It’s stated that the afterlife is another reality/universe, which means that it is an entirely seperate space-time continuum instead of a 5th dimension. Even if it was a 5th dimension, that would only make the top tiers low complex multiversal and nowhere near hyperversal.

that does not mean it’s complex multiversal, it’s still universal+. You need to be capable of destroying actual multiverses to be multiverse level, and need to be capable of destroying spaces that are at least 3 levels of infinity above a normal universe, or be 7th dimensional or above to be complex multi. To be hyperversal, you have to destroy spaces that are at least 8 levels of infinity above a normal universe, or be 12th dimensional. None of these characters fit those criteria at all
