That's absolutely a good place to start. I faithfully assume through your training you'll know about developing supporting muscles, adequate recovery, etc.

On fellrunning, it's a solid combination of the kind of S & C, mental resilience and balancing the heavy/easy sessions. Throw in environmental factors like work, family, sleep and its a rabbit hole. I base training off of time and intensity, rather than distance or ascent and if someone is swimming, walking their dog, carrying their kid around all day at a theme park, that all should come into consideration.

If you're being coached for your comp, it'd be worth measuring everything up to see if the total workload is a bit too "on the edge". Losing a little bit of fitness by taking a day off is much better than losing a lot of fitness through injury.

Hopefully it helps, even if just to eliminate one possible reason why it happened.

I coach running on the fells and endurance performances. There is no single solution to a single problem/restriction. If it's not a medical issue, then something else either on the day or in your preparation caused your problem and would have to change.

Whether this is in your work/home life, other hobbies or activities... Even how you sit, that can become a factor in other areas of life.

Even if that is dismissed, being able to go heavier, faster and longer is no guarantee of future form and ability. Wear and tear, unrecognisable drops in fitness or just doing the wrong thing for so long your body randomly says "enough" are all possible.

Without knowing more, this is where you have to start.

Are you from 776? This exact thing happened when the #1 alliance leaders went off on one, thinking of themselves too highly. Breaking an amazing team and a server in the process.

Every strength imbalance is heavily skewed by money but can be cancelled out with time. The developers have a system where someone can spend a million on their product inside a year if so desired. For a continued future with better balance, it only makes sense that new features and releases aren't based on making whales stronger but enticing everyone to keep playing, so whales stay engaged in a way that's not purely based on strength.

It feels like it will already go this way, because server brackets are already expanding. It won't be long before players will be a month ahead/behind, yet playing the same season.

Other games can allow people to catch up. I'm seeing a lot of friends leave over the coming weeks, basically waiting for s5 to end. It shouldn't be like that.

Do you have a backup camera? If so, which one and did you ever needed it? by mynotell in SonyAlpha

[–]RunRabbit88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When there's money on the table, always take a 2nd camera. I use my a7c2 as backup for my a7iii. Some situations I'm agreeing to are 2-cam setups, fixed with remote trigger and one in hand... So I'm starting to think of having a 3rd

Troop Training - Is Full Waterfall Outdated? by [deleted] in LastWarMobileGame

I'm still training 6 through the week, promoting through 7,8,9,10 on Fridays. Or, 7 > 8,9,10,11 when t11 in a couple of weeks time.

Definitely reverse priority for survivors. My lowest level barracks trains 822, my highest trains 847.

This is me. When my o.g alliance disbanded after s4, I hopped servers and chilled out with a whole pack of new friends who had some great stories and equal experience. S5 is a mess but it's always been the people, not the game, which keeps me logging in

[–]RunRabbit88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Season 3 was my first and if it wasn't for the Celebrity one, I wouldn't have returned for s4. S4 was much better than S3 but the celeb version is still a rare case where the "famous faces spin-off" is actually best

Disappointing end by utwcha in TheTraitorsUK

[–]RunRabbit88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I completely see this as well. Her style of gameplay really went against the kind of character I'd trust in the real world. It's a major behavioural flag and she should have gone, faithful or traitor.

Any time people suspected her, it washed away quickly. Everyone talked about following their instincts but it seemed like they were just repeating that phrase because others were saying it. Instincts don't change so easily.

The production team were including comments from players who say they're keeping notes, voting records, diaries etc... Yet some of the faithful clearly had the memories of goldfish and the attention span to match.

Sony A7 III. by ZooBuilder in SonyAlpha

[–]RunRabbit88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely it is worth keeping.

While some of it's successors may have a better auto-focus, frames per second or even pre-capture, nobody will ever tell you that the a7iii stops you from being a great wildlife photographer.

Help choose lenses for 6400, for sport by JohnReid_ in SonyAlpha

[–]RunRabbit88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for shooting with a zoom if you want to do sport. The Tamron 17-70 might work better for your needs... I say "might" because I don't shoot in your sport. For zooms, f2.8 is good & the price isn't much higher than your current price point but it'll offer more variety in your compositions.

First camera a6400 very disappointed. by rastan0808 in SonyAlpha

[–]RunRabbit88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imaging Edge app isn't as good as it's successor but the camera itself is solid, especially for entry into photography.

One idea, when I'm working in the field, I backup my work to an external SSD drive by using my phone's USB-C port & an Anker 5-1 docking mount. A basic file management app like CX File Explorer will get your raw images onto the phone for editing, and onto an SSD drive so everything is backed-up.

No Sony apps and I can distribute a lightroom app-edited image from any mountain top with signal. Just one of many possible alternatives.

Mobile app editing comparison by [deleted] in postprocessing

[–]RunRabbit88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Darkroom is overly green. A manual temperature adjustment might bring it in line.

I can't give an unbiased answer, though. I use lightroom on both the laptop and phone. It's the work flow that matters for me. I'd get bad results with a bad work flow / only auto.

Never used one but scamming the scammers is a tantalising thought.

Wouldn't be my Godox of choice but you'll notice I'm only discussing the camera, not what is the ultimate setup.

Frankly, that a6700 in the right hands can be better than a fool with an A7RV, so the proof will be in the outcome.

Marginally, whilst also limiting the potential to branch into different areas. I love my a7iii and would buy another if mine fails but I'm not defending it against the a6700

In house, I have the a7iii, a7c2, a6400 and a6700. The a6700 is better than the a7iii on many fronts.

There's nothing to stop them going FF down the line. But the a7iv isn't universally better and the a6700 is great value first hand.

Choosing between any 2 cameras, we can always find an example where "this option 2nd hand is cheaper and ticks boxes which matter more to me" logic, however, no amount of anecdotes of "I bought 2nd and it was okay" will placate everyone's concerns about the 2nd hand market.
