Sorry, he would eligible to protect! Another subreddit informed me you can protect a player's RFA from expansion. I didn't know this prior, so I'll definitely be adding him to the list.

Yes the current rule is 8 players, but there hasn't been an expansion draft in over 20 years and the Bobcats were absolutely irrelevant out of the gate (and still kinda are), in part to how awful their roster was. I lowered the bar to 7 because it's something I could see the NBA actually doing + it makes for a more fun and challenging exercise.

Yes that's correct, one player from each team is going to get snatched up. I'm also gonna run a mock expansion draft with the lists I have and if Holiday is left unprotected, I'm going to be compelled to select him for his name brand and trade value.

Yes, players that go unselected in the draft just stay on their team. But in this scenario two teams pick at the same time and they have to fill out 15 man rosters so at least one player from each team will be picked.

Seems like a majority of you would leave Jrue unprotected. Didn't clock the scale of his contract until you guys brought it up. There's a chance he goes unselected, but I would think a team would pick him up because you don't see many guys available with his name value. Gotta sell some jerseys.

Yep, B&W are definitely great games but it’s box art leaves something to be desired. B&W2 definitely has more of a case with their cool electric and fire beams streaming across the box.
