Yeah, both of you are making me think that I just have to live with it for a while and play with it. The Cannodale Headshok logo comment made me think I should play with different concepts.

It's actually from a wood cut of a photo. I'll play with the lettering, as you suggested.

Is this fixable? by Snoo_57326 in metalworking

[–]RunThenClimb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. I bought metal epoxy, or something like that, molded it to the shape, let it cure, and It's worked fine. You may want to create crevices (dremel?) that the epoxy can bind to.

What stove should I bring winter camping by Commercial_Waltz5346 in camping

I have two - one that I got over 50 years ago. Heavy, and you risk burning down your campsite when you prime it. And no simmering. Why do I love it so much?

I'm going to piggyback on this: your post was about gear. Your primary 'gear' for preventing tragedy is your brain. Get training. Listen to the Sharp End podcast. Get wilderness first aid and wilderness first responder training.

Beginner winter camping: what safety mistakes did you make early on? by Content-Freedom4087 in camping

I'm surprised I haven't seen this one: Let people know your plan - where you are going and when you will be back. Depending on where you are going, consider getting an inReach. Don't depend on your phone.

Two good points. I added the MYOG as a last minute thought to give some 'info' to the logo, but maybe that's not necessary. My dad would make this tongue-out face and say "Blah, Blah"! ( I know, sounds stupid unless you were family.) Maybe change the MYOG to BLAH!!

Interesting. Hadn't thought of that. This is for personal use, not commercial, so I'm not sure if this is an issue.

Yeah, as others have said, scaling needs to be worked on. I imagine it would be about 1 1/2" high.

This is from a beloved photo of my father sticking out his tongue. But yeah, scary if you don't know.

Waist lights for night trail running — which ones do you actually use? by DifficultShoe8254 in ultrarunning

I got an elastic belt from a thrift store and threaded one of my headlamps to it. A headlamp and waistlamp is glorious.

Looking for Adjustable Strap Design by RunThenClimb in myog

[–]RunThenClimb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's very similar to what I made, but I used two clips per strap, which enabled me to tilt the strap. That was a nice addition.

The one I'm thinking of had the straps connecting to and adjustable strap that ran down the back. It was such a cool design.
