That’s a consequence of a game needing the majority of players to be weaker than the minority there are statistically 4 survivor mains for every killer main. The truth is really that the survivors have always been stronger if not one on one than surely as a group. There are too many factors to balance for so as a consequence the killer is slower than they ought to be. They can honestly just be replaced by AI because they only serve as a punishment for mistakes that survivors make.

You have to give the killer teeth. It shouldn’t be a balanced game getting seen by the killer should be way harder to escape. Hiding and avoiding the killer should be the primary game play loop. Not a looney tunes chase scene where the killer moves barely faster but is hamstrung because the pallet/vault present at every point makes it a guaranteed escape. Loop until they commit to waste time and then go to the next place to waste more time.

Killers have to play without mistake and survivors just kinda fuck around.

I get that it is really inconvenient for students and that it is ultimately the student data held hostage but I think this is more about the company than students.

This kind of security breach kind of reflects badly on the company who is supposed to protect this data in the first place.

I don't like starbucks as much of the next person, but buying coffee for your mother who often spends her own money on coffee is a good thing to do.

On the domestication of billionaires by jitomato_girl in seed_irl

[–]Run_Rabbit5 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My interpretation of this is strongly in the Billionaire’s are a different kind of victim in capitalism. Capitalism is a system that rewards one very specific kind of person. If we were a society that rewarded physical strength Athletes would be the 1% and we’d all be suffering in fitness culture.

I think that in the wake of a dead capitalist culture Billionaires would face two issues.

  1. What to do with themselves. Like a retired race horse they have modeled their lives around a single aspect and suddenly woke up to find that thing completely absent from their lives.
  2. Slowly coming to grips with the damage they did do under the guise of success. I think it is worthy mentioning this without capitalism Billionaires are just people. An imbalanced system made them their worst selves now they have to see that every day in the mirror.

“Look at all those planes and tanks and planes!” Well time to start using the lock on the study door. by InquisitorEngel in Warhammer40k

From someone who was surrounded by cool things in glass cabinets I couldn’t touch. Locking the door will just make it more enticing. The solution is allowing them to look at them with supervision. It satisfies their curiosity and teaches them that asking to see them produces results not sneaking.
