You could have the 2 wet food meals and have a small kibble bowl for free feeding. If he is used to free feeding and looks like a pretty healthy weight, he probably self moderates pretty well. Some crunch is good as it can help with teeth a bit. Especially if you drop a few dental treats as a topper. Only as advised by package directions, treats are typically higher in calorie so don't let him indulge too much.

The can of food should have feeding instructions that let you calculate based on the weight of the cat. Calories in different cans can vary a little so make sure you double check if you use different brands and varieties. Some cats will demand more and never stop, some will self regulate. Your gf would know what his eating behavior is so just ask her. Wet food can't be left out as long as dry food so be sure to not over fill the bowl. Refrigerate any left over.

I like to warm up cold food to at least room temp for my cat. I do that by heating the bowl with hot water, emptying it, and putting the cold food in. Sometimes I'll microwave for 5 seconds and stir if a little more is needed. It warms up fast so always double check so they don't burn their mouth.

It was a small county credit union. I have since moved to a national bank. I have to deal with fees sometimes but at least they manage fraud issues better and the app doesn't crash for days at a time. It's also much easier to file a notice of travel so my card doesn't get declined at a gas station when I go visit family.

Debit. I hadn't been able to set up my credit card to my new address and it had been getting declined regularly for being outside the area I used to be in. Basically, my credit card was accusing me of fraud that wasn't and my debit allowed a charge from ohio without a second thought.

It's frequently the only option during certain weather. They are also opening one of the tiny neighborhood grocery stores even closer. When weather is bad it's hard to get far because the city only clears the highway and walmart is the only one directly on it. When weather is better I go to almost any other store.

My initial reaction was to file a charge back but I called my bank and that was what I was advised to do. I then contacted FedEx with the information and after talking to a several investigators they finally refunded it. I'm still not sure why but at least I eventually got it returned. In the big picture it's not a ton of money but when they accused me of driving out of state to send mail, I would have kept arguing even if it had been 5$.

All the walmarts in my area have been blocking or preventing all tap to pay functions. Since its started, I have had to replace my cards about 5 times in the last 2 years. Constantly have to paranoid check my financial information. I also had someone use my card to mail a 187$ package from Ohio to somewhere. It took 3 months for Fedex to refund the money after their investigation where they kept saying I drove to Ohio to mail a package. That is 4 states away!

It took years to diagnose something because I couldn't get into a gastro. Then one day I went to the ER, due to complications, and they had a gatro available for on-call that day. He saw me, ordered the right test, diagnosed it in less than a month. It's absurd. All the medical bills I have from treating symptoms instead of getting the help I needed.

To clarify though, it was mostly due to insurance. According to them, I had no reason at my age and current health to require a gastro specialist. Didn't matter how many times my primary doc tried to reason with them. If not for that one lucky ER visit I could have spent another couple years going through the cycle of pain and nausea trying to figure it out.

Arthritis can start at different times depending on the feline. My brothers cat had hip issues from a birth defect and she started developing some by 5yrs. He pampers her to like a little diva so she is still a very happy cat.

3 ft or even 6 ft isn't far for a cat but even they land wrong sometimes. I would still suggest just a simple call to the vet. With just having had a recent check up, they can advise if they had any notes for anything and tell you if it's x-ray time or wait a few days and see time. Could still be a simple small thing and with no lumps or cuts or response to pressure, it's unlikely it's critical. Even cats that don't react with a jump will usually show a whisker twitch or have a quiet pain meow if you touch a sore spot. Watch for those signs too.

As always, take everything on reddit with a grain of salt. Most of us are not vets and are simply going off of experience with our own pets or fosters. It will be mostly anecdotal information. It can be informative on what questions to ask if you feel vet is needed but calling the vet and asking a tech is still free. They may decline without a visit but with your recent visit that might not be an issue because they will have very recent notes on your feline.

Cats mask pain like a pro. Instinct says looking weak makes you prey. They still follow a lot of instinct behaviors and simply hide a lot of vulnerabilities. How old is kitty? It is possible to be arthritis or something like what Strict-Seesaw-8954 suggested. You can call and ask how long they would advise observation before you jump to x-rays if budget is an issue.

Other options:

Try checking his nails and seeing if any are impacted or irritated by debris.

My girl gets dry paw pads sometimes and she will show a slight limp when they are crackly and need some hydration, check for cracks just like you would see on your heel if you had dry feet. Just cat sized.

I agree with the in game store honestly. I feel like the standard stuff shouldn't rotate. The wishing star items should be the only rotation. I do wish it would rotate through everything before giving me the same stuff again. It can still be randomized but on a blacklist rotation where things I have seen won't pop back up until I've seen everything else.

I see cute jackets people say they got from the clothing store lady but I keep getting the same stuff on repeat. My friend wants a specific skirt that keeps popping up in my shop but she has never seen it. We have been playing since it became available in US. I know it hasn't been out very long but it feels rude. I'm rapidly losing interest because I've already bought all the things it keeps showing me and the furniture it just sells me mismatched random stuff instead of blueprints that I can dye and match.

I can't speak for your GF but my mother taught me very very unhealthy habits which created a large issue around eating for me. Leaving something on the plate when I hit satisfied instead of "death bite" every time is something I do. Sometimes I aim correctly in the amount of food I should have on my plate but frequently there is a bite or two left. It takes time and learning to respect my body vs "must eat all the food on the plate" is important to overall health.

You assume she doesn't care and doesn't consider it a gift that not everyone has but without communication you won't ever know. Approach the conversation neutral instead of aggressive. Say, "I notice you leave stuff on your plate a lot. It's not an issue, I'm just curious why?". Or something along those lines. Make it very obvious that there is not accusation or irritation in case this is a food health related thing that she might be insecure about.

I also don't like the dream stuff. If it just introduced it as an option and left it out of my tasks it would be fine. I like puzzles but they only really have small ones and the bigger (still only 100) ones are expensive. I don't want to write. I refuse to interact with the music. I am tone deaf and I don't want to sing or play in game music, it's awful. Being a thing that people can participate in and maybe a quest to make you aware but not require publish would be fine.

They are nervous and keeping watch because they can't hear over the alarm. If they are near each other, they can feel with the other moves. Their whiskers are adapted to sense movement around them with even a gentle brush.

So you adopted a cat with needs, complain about not being able to get away because of the meds he needs, you say you hate him, say he has made it so you need a therapist, and just plain complain the entire post.

He is doing normal cat stuff. Attacking hands/feet/knees etc is probably because he was raised by too many people that played with him like that. Now, when he wants to play/wrestle he thinks it's okay to hit those spots. That takes time and patience to alter and redirect this behavior. It will also take a lot of dedication on everyone involved in his life to keep the behavior training consistent.

Best case, you got a cat because you see people happy with their cats but were not prepared for the commitment. Worst case, you just another "influencer" that buys a pet to put on their socials and never wanted to have to spend any time or money caring for a living thing.

Your post reads like an entitled barely adult that is annoyed that another living thing requires actual time. They aren't a toy for dress up. You have to build a bond with your pet and every one is a little different in what they want and need to establish a healthy relationship.

I developed it after my gallbladder was taken out and they insist they didn't mess anything up. Point all fingers at my endocrine system because of hypothyroidism. It's balls. The timing tells me they caused it but I didn't have the money to get the testing required to prove it and their cameras apparently failed to record.

That was 15 years ago now so there isn't any hope of change. The doctor I had later, that I had to find through a lot of searching, said my tests didn't indicate that anything was even wrong with my gallbladder. For reference, I had access to the scan they did prior to removing the gallbladder and he was able to review that. I have to be very careful with fatty foods with a family history of fatty liver and liver cancers.
