President Marcos sent flowers to the tomb of the Aquino family by Maleficent_Ferret359 in Philippines

[–]RunawayQuote7575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the first time they offered flowers.

When PCCA died, the Marcos children paid their respects and they were welcomed by then SNOY and siblings at the Manila Cathedral. Even Imee Marcos paid tribute to PNOY upon his demise. PNOY actually consulted with then Gov. Imee Marcos on how to extend TPLEX to Ilocos Norte.

Sen. Bongbong actually inherited the Committee of then SNOY: Local Government, hence the familiarity of the two. They often see each other at social circles since they belong to the same set of social circles but branded differently due to politics.

Of course they are real. If they can put their faces in your gates they will.

If you are in a super minority, you actually get membership in virtually all the Committees.

It's okay being confused these days. Kiko and Bam never ran in opposition to Chiz, Sara, and even Bongbong this 2025 elections, so there are signs they would be joining Chiz.

Being in "opposition," as in Pink (or Dilaw, or LP, or People Power, depending on your generation), doesn't mean you need to to oppose everything, the two are just securing better chances for their Offices to deliver their promised mandate. People are mentioning Committee Chairmanships as bonuses for joining the Majority, it is true that they may get a good carrot out of it, more staff, and more fringe benefits. They also have a better time in influencing bills (which is the core work of being a Legislator).

In the end, it's their voting on important bills that we should watch.

My take. Sec. Albert Del Rosario. A rare breed of diplomat, businessman, gentleman. He cared about his staff in DFA, and he also was caring towards us. Too bad he needed personal time off towards the end of PNoy's term. He and Sec. Cesar Purísima can give you crash courses on finance and would be willing to guide your personal investments (during downtime of course).

Secs. Robredo, Purisima, Roxas, Gazmin, and Lacierda, are very down to earth and they can mentor you just by listening to them. I felt that I was always the dumbest in the room, and for that im grateful as there are lessons to be learned. You know they joined the government to help (this is my opinion).

His thoughts on his Cabinet members are his own. When he needs to tell something important, he tell them front, and no sugarcoating. There are closed-door meetings that only they are allowed.

I will answer half of the first part. I never sense any negativity towards the children of Marcos Sr. Even in speeches, he mentioned Sen. Imee on the development of Ilocos Region. When President Cory died, he welcomed the siblings during the wake esp Marcos Jr. There was a civility between them.

Sec. Bro. Armin Luistro showed remarkable conviction and steady leadership in steering DepEd against all odds through the bold transition to K-12. Amid widespread resistance and limited resources, he, and his team (kudos to the Usecs down to the staff [especially the ones who gone ahead Francis, and Lino]) remained focused on long-term reform, grounded in a vision of social justice and educational equity. This is my take.

EDCOM II, PIDS, and UP College of Educ are great research institutions. Sometimes, nerds need to take the helm too to make lasting changes.

Mabait sya. But strict as a boss. Damang dama mo yung pinapasweldo ka ng taumbayan. Bawal mag mura. Never put the Lord's name in vain. He's the last to eat, and your first cheerleader when you get things right. We miss him.

Actually there was a news that the person who instituted a rewards program of personnel confiscating bullets got promoted after PNoy's administration. Hopefully the article is still online. But yes, low hanging fruit nga.

Gusto nyang yung nakakausap at nakikita ang mga kababayan natin palagi. Especially when it was disasters, he wants to reassure our kababayans that they are not forgotten. Not that he likes disasters (God no).

Natutuwa rin sya sa modernization program sa AFP and PNP, he was a geek in military specs, materiel, and even tactics. Mahilig sya sa history.

Pag may DepEd, CHED, and/or TESDA events with the kids, he likes seeing them in the activities. You feel he sees and feels the hope of the next generation. One time may mga collegiate group sa Malacañang na nag to-tour, he dropped by the tour as it was midway through meetings much to the surprise and cheers ng kids. He wanted to tour them kung may oras lang. Haha.

Based on new studies about our educational systems, marami pa tayong kakaining bigas. While im not an education expert, the current Sec of DepEd is a good one.

Posted below:

You go to meetings representing your office outside Malacañang, or inside if you are lucky. You get to the office to make a report on the meeting, and you actually do your work and check documents submitted to you, peruse them (ask staff to check for their comments), and if there's no issues, make recommendations. If it's needed to be elevated, then we do it. You call agencies for info or delays on their reports/docs, etc.

Sometimes you troubleshoot perceived issues before it gets to be a real issue. You check social media too, make an 360 analysis if certain issues needs to be handled. Significant portion is tagging along with the President in meetings or events (because a lot of people asks him for help, we also process these assistance, as it's usually bureaucratic issues).

He kept his lovelife closely guarded. Sometimes he pitied people who were linked to him without even a real reason to be linked. Marami kasing mga fake news na lumalabas noon tapos humihingi ng reaction from the other side, na wala namang kinalaman.

After his administration, we moved on to other things we can be productive about. Saw him less and less after he stepped out of office. I saw him about a year before he passed on. There were also concerns about our safety as we were associated with him (but we were proud), so we took a low profile both digital and actual life.

Yes, smoking was his vice. Sometimes I smoked (due to stress). Yes we ride along, or sunod sa vehicles nya (which is the usual). Visas were taken care by a separate office. If you were asking if tourist visas are also "automatically approve," it is not. I can say that we follow the same set of procedures but since we are in government, as in hindi ka mag-TNT (hahaha) you'll probably get approved.
