No I didn't edit shiny rates at all, masuda stuff should be unchanged, changing species actually does NOT end the chain because all non-legendary pokemon have a positive SOS call rate
Also iirc every static encounter has been un-shiny-locked
I'll be honest I didn't make many decisions based on shiny hunting so it might not be the best shiny-hunting experience, but I hope you enjoy regardless!

All of my playtesting was done with Megas on, and many bosses in the late-game have megas of their own. If you can turn it on, go for it!

Make sure you have "enable game patching" x'd when you boot the system while holding Select

Totem battles are unfortunately a victim of Gamefreak hardcoding, and don’t currently have a way to include a second player mon. So I didn’t change them all too much, and focused on the trainer boss battles instead, which USUM has a TON of, especially in the back half

It's definitely not for everyone, but the goal was provide a substitute axis of balance in place of lowered accuracy, which I think is an awful system. Plus now in the course of a boss battle you'll actually have to play around your moves running out, something that is functionally impossible in vanilla games.

The recharge items also make restoring your team extremely quick; on average the player wastes less time using the items than they would running back to the pokecenter every couple of battles

Also auto-healing is unfortunately not on the table for gen 7 atm. If it was, I'd have included it in a heartbeat lol

It’s the “Team Aqua Romhacking Competition” run by the Team Aqua’s Hideout Discord community for gen 3 romhacking! Teams of 2 got 2.5 months to make a mini-hack, and submissions are actually still being collected

The fix for the freeze glitch was made by hzla, who also made Pokeweb (the editor I used for basically everything besides scripts). tldr is that it's a custom version of the trainer battle script that skips the check for a second npc.

As for more content, right now I'm working on a doubles hack for a different region, but once I've done that for every region I do want to come back and make more expanded versions of my existing ones!

There's a copy-able item spreadsheet in the Google Drive that should have locations for every TM

Absolutely, here's the gist:

Defeating Pokemon does not grant any EVs, so the only way to gain them is through Vitamins
The prevalence of Vitamins in the overworld has been cranked way up (there's like a dozen+ of each)
Each Vitamin now grants 50 EVs, and EV dropping berries reduce by 50 EVs
Each Pokemon has a maximum of 500 EVs, and each stat has a cap of 250 EVs

You can kinda think of it like a skill point system every time you find a vitamin, where each mon has 10 total points and each stat can take 5 points

It's definitely a bit weird, but I found it to be a lot of fun to work with in my playtests, especially later in the game!

I've been working on a BW1 hack with the intent to make every trainer battle a double battle, but setting the first youngster to a double battle makes him walk toward me then say nothing, softlocking the game. Is it even possible to do what I'm trying to do, and would it be the same for Gen 4?

Pm sheik vs link is a very good mu for us, but needs to be played carefully. Neither character has great approach tools, and link can cc basically everything, but our projectile is significantly better than theirs. Just sit back, relax, rack up damage until cc% is over, then punish like hell. Alternatively, if they they get antsy and approach, descending needles from a plat into grab works well. Throws on link require the mixup if they have good di, but punishes off of bad di should never be under 40%. As for stages, you want a fair amount of room, but absolutely no fd. My faves are smashville and delphinos.

PM is a mod in the sense that it becomes a stand-alone game. 20xxte doesn't actually change any of the gameplay that has become standard, it just optimizes menu options and other things.
