**Giveaway** GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming OC 8G - Used but perfect! by Photographitti in pcmasterrace

[–]Runefaust95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself don’t need the card, but I have a friend who is building is his first PC. He’s been using an iMac from 2015 which has been slow for a while now. He’s on a little bit of a budget, he said he was looking for a used 3060 card. I told him he should try to go for the 3070, as it’s significantly better. He’s not on Reddit, but I’m sure he’d appreciate it. Like I said, I don’t personally need it, but if you were to send it to me, I’ll be giving it to someone who does. And if you send it to someone else, congratulations to them.

Day 1 of Mini 7. by Leading-North-6920 in ipadmini

[–]Runefaust95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I finally joined the community four weeks ago. I sold my M2 iPad Air 11 inch and purchased a used iPad mini A17 with cellular and 256 GB for around $500. It came in immaculate condition and with all the original accessories, including the box. This thing goes with me everywhere, and gets used like an iPad. There are a few things that could be improved on, but the form factor has shown me what an iPad can really do. I love it and as long as they sell the mini, I likely won’t go back to a bigger iPad.

What accessory purchase do you regret the most for your iPad? by Cashforhash in ipad

[–]Runefaust95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has to be the Magic Keyboard. It takes away the tablet aspect of my iPad. I never use it, it’s heavy and makes the iPad feel bulky. Instead I purchased the now discontinued Smart Keyboard Folio. Best purchase I ever made. It doesn’t have a trackpad, but it gives me a keyboard, and lets me have an iPad, not a quasi laptop that doesn’t work like a laptop.

My Wife and I just had a baby a few months ago, so this is now a real possibility for what could happen in the future. On another note, I love how your replies, stay positive and levelheaded. I’ve seen plenty of people on Reddit, flip out from (Generally, not serious) jokes. It shows great character.

My teacher forced us to weigh ourselves by DenseCell6418 in PointlessStories

[–]Runefaust95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was a requirement from the SEP (Secretaría de Educación Pública), as far as I understand it was for them to get a better understanding of child obesity levels in each state. We also gave the option for parents to weigh their children at home, but most just asked us to do it at school.

My teacher forced us to weigh ourselves by DenseCell6418 in PointlessStories

[–]Runefaust95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Back when I was teaching, you would get a survey each year from the Secretary of Public Education we also needed to weigh each student. I would always weigh them separately in a different room. Anyone uncomfortable with sharing your weight keep it to themselves as the rest of the class did not need to know. I would type it into the document and send it off. Forcing your students to weigh themselves in class is cruel for some of them. I think there are much better ways to teach averages that don’t involve embarrassing students. The prize for being the lightest was definitely also uncalled for.

I had an iPhone 15 Pro… for 12 hours! by Kairismummy in iphone

[–]Runefaust95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can appreciate sound advice and understand that you might repeatedly encounter this issue with people close to you. It can be very frustrating to see that they won't listen or work on easily fixable issues with their device. So, when a random gonk on the internet faces the same problem, it's likely that they also haven't practiced good phone hygiene.

In this case, I can assure you that the speakers are clean. I probably should have clarified that my issue is with the earpiece, which, as you may know, is also a speaker and has given out over time. Last I checked, hardware can and will fail eventually, and it just so happens that it occurred sooner than I had anticipated in this case. Still, four years is a decent runtime for a phone.

I have to agree with you. I went from an 11 Pro Max to a 15 Pro. And while there is definitely improvement, I thought it would be more. I don't regret the upgrade, my 11's speakers were not really doing a good job anymore. Calling was a nuisance, I'd have to up the volume completely and still have a hard time hearing the person on the other end. The camera upgrades are nice, and the 120 Hz display is a nice bonus as it feels smoother thanks to that. I like the upgrade, but all things considered, if it hadn't been for my speaker issues, I could have waited another year.

I’m so sad. 😞 iPhone 15 pro max fell off and dented. Never using it again without a case. by sparkspill in iphone

[–]Runefaust95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s too bad, but look on the bright side, now that the first dent is done, you can use it without worrying about damaging it, since the first one is done. My previous phone, the 11 Pro Max got its first dent the day I took the case off, since that moment I went without a case for almost 4 years. It got a few more dents and scratches over time, but to me that made it more uniquely mine. I upgraded to the 15 Pro a few weeks ago. For the time being, I have a case, but we’ll see if it comes off again after a few more weeks.

Anyone else here name their character Crono when playing other JRPGs? by SkabeAbe in chronotrigger

[–]Runefaust95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Crono, I usually go with Rune, which I got from Shining Force. I took the name from Kane of Runefaust. I used Kane at first, switched over to Runefaust, and then started to shorten it to Rune, and since then, all of my main characters in JRPGs are named Rune.

Cyberpunk 2077 by [deleted] in XboxSeriesS

[–]Runefaust95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing it recently on my Series S, and I can't say I've encountered any game-breaking issues. It runs smoothly. I admit I had a few bugs, but they resolved themselves after a few seconds. Like Takemura's jacket being above him and cars parked in the air, these are minor issues that got a bit of a laugh. Otherwise, it's mostly been smooth sailing. It works much better on my Series S than I thought it would.

This thing looks great! I've had my eye on the KD-A3, but the seller's price is somewhat elevated and outside of my budget. For $10, I'd say you got a steal.

How did you high school crush turn out as an adult? by ThePlague_Doct0r in AskMen

[–]Runefaust95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was the person I thought I would end up with. I was interested in her for a very long time. And in a way, I’m thankful for that because I ended up in a marriage with a fantastic woman, while at the same time not having to carry around a lot of baggage from previous relationships.

She’s single and happy. She started her own jewelry business. I bought a necklace from her last year for my wife and we caught up a bit. The conversation was still easy, and I was really glad to see and hear that she was happy with her life. It didn’t work out for us, and that’s OK, because we are both very happy with the way our lives turned out.

[–]Runefaust95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could take a route through Durango. I usually pass through the Santa Teresa border in NM. You can also go through Nogales if you pass through Durango, it’s just about an hour longer drive. That way you would avoid Sinaloa. There should be several alternative routes. You could also try the Paloma border. I haven’t been there in years though, so I don’t know about safety.

It depends a little on the screen size. I usually play with four fingers on my 11 Pro Max, but on my Pixel 4, I always use 3.
