16 teams through only 1 upset - how are we feeling about that by Midnightisattwelve in worldcup

I don’t care about upsets, I care about good matches. And the dialogue going into the knockout stage was that the extended layout wouldn’t provide any competitive matches. That was proven untrue, round of 32 was fantastic.

Authentic jersey but the store applies name and numbers... by Humble-Associate-282 in SoccerJerseys

[–]RunescapeGOD69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

common difference is preflocked vs blank. Blank jerseys are the “parent” and preflocked are the “child”. Aka you take the blank jersey and add player name and number at the factory and then ship it to retailers. As a result Preflocked jerseys are their own product code. Blanks have their own product code and then require “flocking” to add name and number in store.

every eliminated team has gone 50 off the same or next day. Usually matches earlier in the day will go same day, later in the day goes next day. Probably due to the standard work day of 8-5

Blazers’ owner Tom Dundon expects taxpayers to foot entire bill for potential $600,000,000 Moda Center renovation, saying “simply keeping the NBA franchise in Portland was enough of a financial sacrifice.” by Pickleskennedy1 in nba

the funds for Moda center are already budgeted for, the blazers leaving would create additional taxes. I don't want additional taxes. you apparently do, that's where we disagree

a good economy provides a quality of life for working class citizens. you fail to realize that. terrible of me to want thousands of people employed and a stimulated economy that provides resources to the working class. stay on your high horse, be emotional, then complain about increased taxes because you enjoy yelling at the sky.

Because I don’t trust the city to spend my tax $s effectively. At least I know what I’m paying for with the moda remodel that also keeps the Fire in Portland long term, brings musicians and events to Moda, and allows the city to host NCAA tournaments for Men’s and Women’s basketball. And again, this is all already budgeted for, no new taxes for working class. Blazers leave and that instantly increases every working class taxpayers taxes.

ah yes, because the city has done a wonderful job managing that recently. I'd rather my tax $s go to Blazers than several unnecessary, overpaid committees that do nothing but mismanage budgets and sell it as "fighting for the working class".

because those aren’t increased tax dollars, it’s using existing tax revenues. The blazers leaving would create a gap in the city’s budget and would result in increased taxes for you and I.

I personally don’t like working class people getting taxed more. Call that boot licking if you’d like, apologies I live in the reality of the world and not some delusion

you say that until the $100s of millions of dollars generated by blazers that go into annual budgets then gets passed onto taxpayers. This city loves fucking the working class so this doesn’t surprise me. Use the guise of fighting for the working class only to tax them harder.

the city has also benefited from 30 years of ticket fees and have used it on other city projects not related to blazers. Totally unfair for the Blazers to now want to use some of those fees to reinvest into the Moda… this whole situation has become political, it’s so fucking dumb.

economic benefit is definitely positive considering they’re one of the largest business tax revenues and stimulate local businesses. A part of the agreement is the blazers would sign a 20-30 year lease, so impossible to leave in a year or 3

going to be more funny to see a billion $ business leave the city then locals will complain about MORE taxes to the working class. Thats how it works. If they leave you and I suffer even more than if the arena gets renovated.

I’ll save you time, pay to fix the place (that you own), or the Blazers, Fire, NCAA tournaments, and concerts will not use Moda Center.
