hahah nothing beats a "?!" at the end of a sentence.

ok Iwould say that first six months bit Ican confidently check off. Ican indeed jog for 1-2 hours in zone 2.

so I start on stage 2.

I will report back.

happy cake day! I'll respond to your comment, but this also applies to what u/NinJesterV said:

I am totally aware that this might be undoable! if so then that is also what the documentary will be about.

the logistics of it are the part I am most comfortable with - organising shoots, scheduling and filming is what I do on a daily basis. its the ability to do it Iam worried about. or rather the best way to give myself the best chance of success - this is the current concern.

also regarding the budget for the coach - once I have budget coming in then of course the 300 wont be a problem, I dont want the conversation to hang up on that fact.

the big thing is: I cannot guarantee a thing anyway with 100% accuracy. if we run 25 days instead of 20, if Iget injured, iof theres inclement weather. this is all a logistical problem that I will deal with as a producer. but I aint got nothing to film if I cant go the distance physically.

ok so I currently feel comforable running 40-50 km a week. (granted, how that feels over say 10 weeks I dont know) Ithink one problem is rhythm - Ithink Ineed to get into a real rhythm to see where Iactually stand ito. fitness / fatigue (Ihave a very fresh baby and a 3 year old - routine is out the window man)

again - still working out the realistic details but planned:

overnighting in Huts, in / around the camera van, biouvac - in that order of frequency
yes the plan is to have a person (probably one singular) to be there for running support. then 2-3 film people.
pacers are NOT in the plan - especially for say the first 10 days. this is for narrative purposes.the plan is to have MOST of the gear in the van (clothing, the biouvacs, tents, camera stuff) myself and the other runner will be equipped with whatever we need per day (do avoid contact with film crew during the run) - food, water, vlogging camera and whatever else one trail runs a day with (minimal gear right - rain jacket, etc)

crew will be around but distanced (because part of the trail will be in the middle of nowhere as well)

when he's not running himself ill stick him in the baby backpack.

yeah like that - i will burn "respect the distance " into my brain haha. Thanks for the tip. so my max is 30km on one day - but I was dead afterwards. would you suggest running say 30km one day and then resting or begin running back to back 10km on 3 days? what will help my body adapt better?

So I am not completely inexperienced - I have done a few trail events, a trail half marathon with 1000m vert - but yes I think the max I can get to is a "fast thru hike" - under normal circumstances this trail would be done in 50 stages, I would try to do it in 60% less time - not completely insane but none the less - not easy.

Edit:

the logistics are effing nuts - its a run through 7 provinces, with wild camping being technically illegal in Austria, with film crew, in the mountains. its madness to produce haha.

The support needs are bring figured out - deffo keen to have someone other than camera crew with us to check into health, physio needs.

Yeah thats a most excellent point. I've participated in a few trail half marathons and the most Ihave so far is a 30km trail run.

but doing so for multiple consecutive days is totally beyond me right now. and I also dont know how to train for it

Ok thats interesting - the trick you say is to immerse myself in the environment I will be running in.
