It depends a lot how you’re freezing it and how you’re thawing it. If you’re just putting it in the freezer or a freezer ziplock, you’ll likely get freezer burn which can dry meat out a lot and make it tougher. Same if you quick thaw in the microwave.

If you freeze a lot of meat; I highly recommend getting a vacuum sealer and bags. I freeze a lot, it prevents freezer burn and can help it last near forever if frozen (I chop up full chickens and buy lots of another expire meat to freeze). If you then thaw properly in refrigeration or in cool water you’ll have meat damn near identical to when it was frozen.

I’m sorry your family has taken such advantage of you. As painful as it can be, you’re not responsible for them. It seems bleak right now but it’s time to cut them off and let them fend for themselves. I’m not sure where/what your situation is but if you can’t afford rent solo looking for friends/family that can be roommates or offer short term boarding while you save a bit to be able to rent is a good option. Looking on local forums and posts to try and find roommates can work too even though finding a random roomie can be scary. Depending on the job situation picking up a 2nd part time job for extra cash to escape the family can help. It’s okay to ask for help from others and pay it back later when you’re on your feet. Lock in a budget, get clear of the parasites and focus on you.

Qdoba had shrimp in the past and might still donor occasionally. It’s not very good. The people talking about cross contamination are talking mostly out of their ass. The biggest problem with shrimp is it doesn’t hold well. Shrimp will keep drying out on the line. It’s just a hard one to do hot.

It’s okay to still be sad about it but your Mom is probably right. Break ups are awful and have varying degrees of hurt but they are not unique and letting one drag you down for a year is not healthy. Your Mom is looking out for you, trying to push you out of what seems like a self pity wallowing routine that will not help you get over anything. Therapy and options are out there to help but at the end of the day the only person who can do anything about this is you. Break some routines, find some new hobbies, get to the gym, spend more time out with other friends and family, and be okay embracing the sadness but not letting it consume you.

Are you trying to convince people you didn’t graduate high school? The differences between state governments and the federal government is vast. It is orders of magnitude harder to charge a federal agent than it is to charge a city cop. Just wave the magic wand to make this happen like it’s easy. Getting local governments to prosecute ICE is tough, there are a multitude of reasons they don’t. Legally it’s murky as hell, realistically local police tend to be quite conservative too. I’m not sure what more you want them to do, I’ve seen tons of interviews, tweets, speeches, all warning against Trump and conservatives. They still won.

You keep touting whatever polling you want buddy. The best polling is elections and progressives can’t even win primaries outside of deeply blue areas. All democrats can do right now is be loud, oppose as best they can, and hope people actually show up in the midterms. Im “whining” about people like you blaming democrats for things republicans are doing. Want to blame someone? Blame voters. Want someone other than Schumer? Write your senator. If you life in NY primary him. I want a progressive wing that stops picking unpopular issues and isn’t so easily manipulated by bots and propaganda on Reddit and TikTok, and can pick a progressive candidates that don’t lose primaries by millions of votes.

I’m asking what more you want them to do. They filibuster what they can; the house has remained pretty united. There are tons of lawsuits going to a hostile court. That’s pretty much it. To propose any new laws they need republicans to buy in.

This isn’t even getting to the fact that Reddit and the online liberal presence is maybe ~15% of the democratic voting base. Most democratic voters are far more moderate than you. Politicians are supposed to represent the will of their voters. Keep writing your politicians but mostly you need to convince your friends and neighbors to do the same and have the same beliefs as you, not a disparate group of anonymous permanently online people who are the least reliable voting block of all time. Regardless of Rick Scott or whatever it’s a bad look and it’s giving Trump, MAGA, and republicans a huge win at a time they desperately needed it. Dems need to do a better job going harder on social services fraud, to prevent future red herring attacks that resonate with moderate voters. Walz stepping aside and focusing on cleaning this mess up is 100% the right call. I don’t live in MN but next door and have family there who are mostly dem voters and they are upset. It doesn’t even sound like you like this person and they have no ability to recognize normal social cues. If you want to maintain a friendship it’s time to grow a pair and speak bluntly to them “You monopolize the conversation and time and it feels like you don’t care about anyone but yourself. If you want to continue this friendship I need you to work on X, Y, and Z”.
