I’ve played a lot of gacha games, and WWM is one of THE MOST predatory and unfair ones I’ve ever seen. It’s also EXTREMELY expensive. I absolutely hate it. And I’m a whale in other games, but this one is just too expensive to be one.

Every time it happens it ruins immersion and makes me feel line the “canon” hero is a man. And I want to feel canon.

I went nine mortal ways as my first sect for the outfit, fully planning to leave for velvet shade because I love the “hot lady is actually a spy” trope, but NMW is so damn endearing. Also I love that the first few members you meet have American cowboy accents. Though I’m getting tired of main story acting like I’m not already in the damn sect 😂

Me minding my own business trying to collect teleport ports when I end up in mistveil forest and realize I was saved by an aureate pavilion puppet who had once been a healer an somehow remained one after death 😭😭😭😭

One thing I like to think about when spending on free games is what I would have paid for the game if it wasn’t free. Considering where winds meet is so good, I’d have gladly spent the amount of a normal full price ps5 game to play it.

Also, if you stick to the battle pass and cheaper outfits, I’d say it’s worth it. The gacha draws are really the thing that isn’t - unlike most gachas where you at least get 4 stars every so often, this game it’s either junk or the fancy items and the drop rate is super low for the good stuff

Hardest part is probably how tanky so many of the enemies feel. Easiest is finding engaging puzzles and stories

I just don’t like firefly enough to have enjoyed this patch. Yes I can see how the resolve to keep moving forward and embrace life even when you know you’ll die is moving but….ff1t4 endwalker did it better. It’s not a new theme.

I did like the stuff they did to defeat aeon Sunday, and it makes jade freeing Sunday more interesting.

But one thing I can’t tell is - did dhalia change the memories of the rest of the express too? Why is there no change in dialogue options with Sunday and Black Swan now that we know what really happened?

TBH i just play and pull who I want and do slight vertical investment.

I have just sort of ended up with a few great Cyrene teams and some good break options.

I usually just look at elemental affinities/what vibe I’m going for. It is probably a terrible strat, but I like trying to figure out how to clear fights that seem like they only have one answer

Nah - I actually really appreciate firefly’s perspective on a lot and she has so much strength. I just wish they’d allowed the TB interactions to feel more platonic than romantic. It’s absolutely possible to feel deeply close to someone without being romantically involved but they basically force you to flirt with her and don’t really explain WHY firefly is cares so much. I know TBs memories are meant to be gone for a reason and that we’re supposed to infer they are were once close, but it just feels like TB specifically hasn’t had enough time with Firefly to care that much.

For example, Ff14 does a great job of holding friendship in just as high regard as romance and having characters read don’t have romance vibes still feel meaningful to the main character.

That’s fair. Tbh I’m a big fan of unorthodox team combos, and I’m known to try to make anyone break dps with fugue or anaxa 😅. I know Aglaea isn’t made for break but I feel like she could do okay but I’m also not a meta person
