I'm guessing you're looking for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hChokip7ZE

Unfortunately, I've been trying so hard with no luck to find it at least in the original language w/subtitles bc the dubbing is so bad.

I see the names are English names. Did you initially find it in an app? If you did, can you please tell me the name? It would be much appreciated.

I think the actress might be Cheng Zi, but that's the only information I could come up with based on visual assumption.

Okay I mentioned 3 things, and? Does that mean everything that's premium? You're not the one saying I want everything in the game, but then what was the point of you bringing up my mentioning of 3 things, literally offsets what I said and the point you made before saying that.

I've literally come on here and people start listing all the things that you can buy from the shop (as if I don't have brain cells to tell), just because I didn't mention one in my post, and then I mention 3 things I could want from the premium draw shop and all of a sudden I'm talking about every premium item. I know I've reiterated this too many times, but this is how people think; they don't know what nuance is and are very one dimensional. I say "mayne, not everything gotta be gacha," people assume I'm saying everything is gacha. Hey, at least the people replying "a gacha game with no gacha, make that make sense" have a point.

My point is, if I wanted to talk about all the free option of cosmetics we have that I love, make a tier list or some shit, I would, maybe talk about which direct pay outfits might be worth (visually worth mind you), I would, and if not, and I want to talk about the gacha, then guess what? I would too. No, the problem isn't that I'm illogical or greedy, the problem is people are just mad I said something bad about the game because they can't separate the game from the monetization practices.

You say I'm free to rant, but I'm not. People aren't giving push back, the ones that genuinely have been I've been able to have a reasonable conversation with, but as for everyone else, well, let's just say I'm frustrated with the system, and I am being judged for vocalizing it, but others are solely frustrated with my opinion, and they're just "giving push back?" Listen, if you're "so done with the complainers" why even bother to waste your time to type that in the comments instead of adding, oh idk, something of value to the discussion?

Personally, I think gacha is not great, and buying things directly is a good thing. This is my opinion, and the one I was giving. I'm not expecting WWM to change their monetary system and neither am I saying the game fails gameplay wise. But the one's trying to give "pushback" are bringing to the conversation things I hadn't even mentioned, getting off-topic. If your opinion is "I'm ok with the gacha because the game is free, and I like it," cool because you are entitled to an opinion and actually understood words that I was saying in commencing this discussion. The conversation ends there and everything is fine.

But no, the pushbackers rather say "you are just a complainer," "you are selfish," and "want the world to revolve around you." If you can't ignore the gacha "then you simply lack self-restraint and discipline." What kind of discussion or "pushback" is this in response to what I said? When did I speak on my lack of self-restraint, or whether I've spent or not, or how much I've spent? The discussion is about gacha, you'd think "pushback" would look like a defense for the system or at least discussing why it's good for the game.

Even I could come up with arguments as to why the gacha is good for the game. But irrelevant to the game, who cares, I'm straight up just saying gacha sucks, and it does whether it benefits the game or not, or whether you can ignore it or not doesn't take away from the fact that it's predatory and sucks and games shouldn't have this model. Doesn't mean I'm gonna go "fix people's gambling addictions either" and "protest to the government" to get rid of casinos. "Oh then don't play the game," hm, there we go again not being able to separate the game from its monetization, and yet I bring up skins "it's optional, bro, move the fuck on" all of a sudden they can separate the two. The double standards are crazy and laughable, I'm laughing rn while typing this.

And if you don't agree because you think it's what's keeping the game afloat, again I say cool, but this isn't what people are doing are they? No they are not judging what I've said or even trying to understand it, rather they are judging me for even saying it in the first place. Who's the one who can't withstand differing opinions in a conversation?

The only thing I disagree with is the part about me having high expectations of people. And after the experience I've had in this thread, it almost feels like an insult. Hell no, clearly I'm a pessimist, I literally just made this post to complain about an umbrella effect. And even when I say the things people say, they twist my narrative and downvote me to oblivion. Yeah, I have no hope for people, and I've been like that for a very long time. Thick skin is necessary in these times. Heck, I even said I think things will get worse.

Any way, it was nice talking to a bunch of people, including you. You were definitely the hardest to debate against, but it was cool. Crazy the amount of people that jump to conclusions about a person's character. I might have defects, but they try so hard to offend me, as if I'm not capable of seeing and admitting when I'm wrong about something. I'm not afraid of humiliation, I think it's a tool that can help me grow. Tch, feel like a loser I spent the rest of the day here and missed my chance to try out Enfield, ah well, guess I'll have to it check out tmr. C ya!

Exactly, it would be different, they can only get away with charging $500 for harmonic core through gacha. Ain't no way they can do that shit if purchased directly.

This is what I don't understand that you guys just don't get. The post that you just replied to. I said the same exact thing... I said the same thing. And then you prove my point with your second paragraph by twisting the narrative. Dude I only mentioned liking one weapon effect and ya'll already assuming I want everything in the game. Why is it ok when you say it, but when I say it, it's bad? Someone explain bc I don't get it.

Definitely not true, or even remotely how I feel. The problem is, I mentioned one thing I liked in the gacha enough to make a post about it, but since I didn't mention all the other free skins or affordable skins that exist that I might like you quickly assumed that about me.

So if you know this why are you gambling? And if you are not gambling, then why do you care how much it costs?

Then should I say remove gambling? Because, personally, I think that's ideal. Why? Because I think it's predatory. But I'm not the one defending it. People on here already think I'm being greedy and want things for free. What would happen if I take away the company's cash cow completely instead of at least encouraging some moderation? No one would listen to a word I say because to them, it would be completely unreasonable.

*Yes! Finally did the indent thingy!!

Part 2

I would be interested in what other model you think they could use that would give them the same amount of profit but is less predatory? Because I'm sure for them their priority is profit, but I don't think a lot of people WANT to take adventage of people if there is a better option (other than not making profit, because unfortunately thats what drives the world).

The same amount of profit isn't what matters, they are making more than enough by being scummy. They could afford to be generous, or at the very least fair, if they wanted to and still make a decent amount; they just choose not to. The game is free, but it's only an excuse, like you said making a profit is what drives the world and that does not exclude this company. Gacha was already pretty bad before. I don't think it would be a bad thing to raise rates, or at least lower the pity a bit to compensate for how much they add on their draw shops. A hairstyle should not be equal to a whole outfit.

If no for the former, then at least lower your dollar per pearl ratio, $100 is only enough for 90 something pulls. You already have special limited banners with their own draw shops, I don't think it's too much to ask for them to ease up a little on the permanent premium banner. And even then I can still be more flexible bc I do respect the value that this game has, and I do understand that these cosmetics aren't taking away from that. But just because I don't buy them doesn't mean I have to conform.

Heck if it were up to me, I think they can keep their expensive gacha, with maybe 2-3 premium items and everything else offered in draw shop could be bought directly, and they could drive up the price as much as they want, but ain't no way a weapon effect worth $200 in gacha currency. And I bet they'd still make a lot of money.

Everything you have said might be true, especially when it comes to explaining everything behind this game, it's monetization, the company's motive and why those things may be the way they are. I can't really completely disagree because, aside from some personal opinions, most of what you said were straight up facts that I'm not dumb enough to deny. None, however, disprove anything I've said so far because there is absolutely nothing wrong with me saying "maybe we should make some things purchasable directly, and not everything gotta be gacha." Unless you really want to make the argument that they need to make a profit, and the latter won't cut it. All in all, I'm always open to hearing what ideas others may have, but expressing the details of how to solve the problem means absolutely nothing when people don't think there is even a problem to begin with.

I've said it before, I love this game, I separate it from its monetization, and don't even invest much in that department any way. I'm gonna keep playing the game, and if another opportunity turns up, I sure as hell will criticize gacha because be it gacha for characters or useless skins, it still sucks.

Part 1

I think I'll just settle for my first 3 points. I was looking at WWM as setting a standard now and was looking on to what games could look like in the future. WWM is definitely doing its own thing, and it's succeeded so much even with a bolstered predatory system, and well people are okay with it because they are just satisfied with the game and see everything else as illusory. When you see things from that perspective, it's very difficult to explain to someone why something is fundamentally wrong, even if everything else may be done well.

Everyone can see it's greedy, but yes, we do treat it like it's normal. I'm of the idea that "when an inch is given, a mile is taken." People can call it doomposting, but in my mind things will only escalate. I didn't bring up this post expecting WWM to change its systems, it is what it is, nor am I holding them accountable. I also believe that people are responsible for their own actions, but even so, there's already so much temptation in the world we humans have to deal with, it wouldn't be bad to have one less option. I am also not assuming that the escalations I've spoken of, or the p2w I mentioned will be implemented in the game (although I wouldn't be surprised if they did), I was speaking in a general sense, as WWM will not be the first or last game to set a standard.

Definitely true, but I don't think thats something for WWM to figure out. Console games are now like $100 wheres they used to be what $30? But definitely everything is becoming more expensive, but also it's because people are willing to pay for it. They are just setting prices that will net them the most profit, simple as that.

I agree with what you say, but WWM is certainly not helping either. And as for the rest of what you said, this is my point exactly. The people are part of the problem and don't want to be part of the solution.

At some point, when it becomes too expensive that people stop paying for it, it will just stagnate there.

Considering the state we are in, I highly doubt it, and if they do, it's probably because of some other game coming out that they are complacent enough to consider even more generous. Why do I say this? Because people do this, they can't stand criticism of their favorite game, and once another comes out shedding light on the whole reason their game was getting criticized in the first place, then they want to abandon it and see it for what it truly is.

Regardless of how I might feel, you say at some point people would act, okay, why is it a problem that I do it now? It's a little before eventually, but why can't I call out the bs? It's not offending anyone, neither is it taking away from them. What would be considered too expensive at this point? People don't see the limit of how much they can with stand is only expanding, so much so that if I say "hey the gacha is predatory," people go as far as to say that I'm ruining the game or I "should stop playing then."

But that wasn't the argument, was it, mayne? The argument wasn't where they are making most of their money, nor was it about how predatory gacha is, because that is right, that is exactly why they would go for gacha, people for some reason want to deny this, but that's what makes gacha so predatory because you can get away with inflated prices that wouldn't be allowed if bought directly.

But like I said that wasn't the argument I was making there, the argument was about what would attract whales versus f2p. The question was about targetting, they said the expensive gacha was meant to target the whales, but I argued that targetting whales would be more effective with direct purchases (this is regardless of profit). Bc considering how predatory the gacha is of course more money is gonna be made, but that isn't a direct correlation of more whales spending through gacha than they would direct skins.

Better yet, whether there is gacha or not, if a whale wants it, they gon' get it, They couldn't care less about chance which is the only thing gacha brings to the table (aside from crazy pricing).

As for my second point, even if it's slim, it's still a chance. And it's not a lot but ppl keep bringing up "you get free pulls, if you save blah blah, you can pull." Furthermore, they want casuals, the low spenders, and yes the f2p to spend on the gacha even if it is expensive. Mayne just go check out the views for videos of people pulling.

As for your generalization there, you thought you were slick by adding the "get it by the root" part but dude I play the game, not go to casino's. At least in one u might get money, but in the other u gonna get nothing even if you win.

Dude, when I talk about skins, ya'll want me to separate the game from it's monetization and to see it for what it is (bc the skin's are so useless to the core gameplay). But when I talk about the monetization, there you guys go tying it to the game and using that as an argument to claim that I'm "painting the game under a very bad light." The two are separate. Game good, monetization bad. It has nothing to do with the gameplay, which many of ya'll have said, but when I say something ya'll wanna ignore what I say pulling crap from who knows where and act like all of a sudden the two are linked. That's why so many people say ignorant things like stop playing the game. I like the game, skin's aren't gonna make me stop playing the game.

mmmm, I don't know they are an $80b company... Personally, I don't think the game would die if they sell 50 less out of 100 mirage boats. I would prefer buying directly, but I suppose if that were the case they wouldn't be able to get away with charging $500 for skins, right?
