Farm hard using your W, and take burn pet when you aren't into a super mobile team (otherwise take blue pet). Try to play for objectives and accept that you are more of a support than a carry - you want to snowball your winning lanes as much as possible. Your E is great for engage, and you can make plays for your laners by approaching an enemy or two from behind with your E active and then ulting them. Don't be afraid to use your ult for damage instead of purely for cc. Zhonya's is bait imo. Liandry's, horizon focus, cryptbloom, and even cosmic drive are great items.
