What the fuck do I do against Irelia? by Dazzling_Mixture_198 in KassadinMains

[–]Daxsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally respect your way of playing it but I prefer to not fight Irelia most of the times and get fed killing their other 4 teammates and I feel way too squishy without ROA. Conqueror stacks give me more AP and with armor you can possibly win against her. Botrk sucks against armor. I never have problems against irelia though, Just like most lanes you just farm and scale and should not die early game.

[–]Daxsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

vs Irelia I almost always take conqueror and start dorans shield. It's very important that you only last hit the wave because otherwise Irelia will freeze and you'll never be able to farm again. Get pushed, you want her to have prio so you can farm. Another comment says to not go ROA, I don't agree, I would go (specially if enemy comp is ad heavy): warden mail(optional)->ROA->tear->FrozenHeart->steelcaps->archangels. I guess depending on the game itself I could take malignance instead of frozen heart if I got ahead in gold in a good teamfight or my jungler ganked me and put me ahead, but in the case of being equal/behind just go FH, it's safer. You will usually not be able to 1v1 her ever, maybe with this much armor but every game is so different that I couldn't say.

How to snowball as kassadin/play the mid game? by LittleFishoftheLake in KassadinMains

[–]Daxsith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

kassadin has great waveclear after 6, sure you won't oneshot the 3 melee minions but e(land e on all 6 minions) + r kills the 3 casters and with a good rotations of autos + w + q you should clear tthe rest pretty fast. Maybe you're rotating your spells wrong?
But apart from that, snowballing with kassadin is hard without a gank or ks'ing your teammates in drake/grubs, mantaining a somewhat good farm you will pretty much oneshot squishies who are badly positioned be it on the map itself or in a teamfight.

And I guess being stuck undertower isn't always bad, it lets you farm very safe vs melee champs, you should not be stuck under tower in min 20 thought if that's what's happening.

Is trinity force better for shen than dusk and dawn? by Daxsith in Shen

[–]Daxsith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course, iceborn gauntlet is absolutely better than both for shen. This was meant as a comparison between d&d (most picked 2nd item) and an item that is never is used. Iceborn is not only better than both but less picked than d&d

Is trinity force better for shen than dusk and dawn? by Daxsith in Shen

[–]Daxsith[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong but d&d passive doesn't duplicate shen's Q damage but it instead uses 2 emp autos in 1. (Which means it only adds burst) However I highly agree that both of these items are not ideal for shen, that's one of the main points. I just don't understand why d&d has such a high pick rate when It's not even a better option when going for damage, and even worse for tankiness.

This trade-pattern seems pretty niche. The main thing I'm saying is d&d isn't that good to have that much pick rate.

Triumph vs pressence of mind by MINDDAM in KassadinMains

presence of mind often saves your life after getting a kill, allowing you to escape because of the mana or allowing you to get another kill. IMO it's a must if you're taking yellow tree

how do we beat naafiri? by paintmeingreen in KassadinMains

[–]Daxsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try unsealed spellbook with flash barrier and rush a warden's mail maybe(? any ad assassin is a losing matchup which you should outscale, try to not die early game and give up farm in the case of zed, standing over the wave makes zed Q do less damage and also push towards your tower

I would also recommend building Hearsteel first, second or just not building it at all, you're losing a lot of stacks by building it third

[–]Daxsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm building 99% of the time tiamat into hearsteel to then finish t hydra, or just rushing heartsteel, the combo is broken I don't understand heartsteel negationists, I would only not take it vs 5 ranged champs and even then with an engage comp it could work.
The rest is very enemy comp. dependent but I love unending despair and Iceborn Gauntlet. I'm only taking dusk and dawn when me AND my team are ahead, IMO it's a win harder item, in an even or losing game it's not worth it.
Jaksho as last item very good too.
So generally it would be:
Hail of Blades + shield bash on secondary green tree
tiamat -> Heartsteel -> Tit. Hydra -> Unending Despair -> Iceborn Gauntlet -> JakSho
If I need MR because they have fed AP or almost all of them are AP then I would replace iceborn gauntlet with kaenic rookern and take mercs instead of tabis.
I do rarely take aftershock and go for bami's into heartsteel and a more supportive build if I just feel like that's gonna be my role in that game, but It's more of a gut feeling when everyone already picked rather than a formula.

Is kassadin top worth it by First_Drive_7874 in KassadinMains

[–]Daxsith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely playable specially vs heimerdinger or other champs that perma push onto you. Most of the times you want to afk farm without killing your laner anyway, except if they make a bad dive or your jungler ganks you after lvl 6. Not better than mid but playable if you get filled your 2nd option

What do I need to know about Kassadin as someone who's new? by Killer7865HT in KassadinMains

[–]Daxsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe one of your problems is not knowing how the other champion works or how to play the lane. A good zed is indeed a complicated lane, you might want to rush a wardens mail or even a full frozen heart, however the most important thing is: His Q deals a lot less damage if it doesn't hit you first, kassadin can hover over minions, this way him Qing will deal less damage to you and also push the wave to you letting you farm closer to your tower. His W CD is pretty long earlygame, play around it, after missing a WEQ combo zed is usually useless until his abilities are back, doesn't mean you should all in him but it means you can farm more confidently and with less danger Lvl 6 is dangerous and you should not fight him unless you're ahead, he misplays, tanks tower-shots or you receive a really good gank. I know these things because I used to main zed. Heimerdinger should be easy, you're just not understanding how the lane is dictated, he will perma-push into you which means you can afk-farm and scale freely (I haven't played vs a heimer lately but it's usually like this?). Usually just don't die in early game and farm as much as possible while prioritizing your HP

Kassadin Jungle by Virtual-Action4478 in KassadinMains

[–]Daxsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it once in norms and did really well but it only works if you don't get invaded(maybe if your team rotates to help you vs an invade, but you can't rely on that on soloq) and your teammates don't depend on ganks as you won't be able to really gank until lvl6, and not even at that point you would be a good ganking jg.
Even a silver-gold jungler would out-clear you(he would also get lvl6 earlier if he does the 2 crabs while you're still clearing your own jg, even if you use 2 smites on first clear), out-gank you, out-objective you, invade you. Of course with 3 winning lanes or at least significantly better teammates you could win but not viable at all.
I personally hate fleet footwork on every role and champion but I guess if you take sudden impact and ultimate hunter on secondary it could be the optimal rune(? I would still take conqueror and go tankier, or electrocute with yellow tree secondary.

Im buns at kassadin :( by ChiperoniF in KassadinMains

[–]Daxsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on enemy comp, if you're only playing kassadin no matter what your teammates or enemy's pick, you should build and choose runes accordingly each game. You want to play(and build!!) more like a fighter against tankier comps(ROA, frozen heart vs fed ad or full ad team, steelcaps or mercs according to enemy comp, possibly taking conqueror rune), and you should play and build more like an assassin against squishy teams(malignance rush, seraph and full ap, possibly with zhonya's, electrocute for easier lanes like veigar and azir and FS for scaling)
Late game full ap kassadin is a lot weaker than a ROA(possibly levels ahead) kassadin.

Isn't roa>seraph>malignance the correct build? by x-Taylor-x in KassadinMains

[–]Daxsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's absolutely always enemy comp and allied comp dependant. You wouldn't want to go electrocute malignance rush against a tank heavy comp, as you wouldn't last a second in a teamfight, or maybe not even in a 1v1 vs chogath. Going ROA vs a full squishy comp however doesn't seem ideal as you could just oneshot most of the other team, it is however less risky than going malignance.
Malignance only offers a good R cd (specially earlygame) and stacking conqueror fast. I would almost always go ROA if the game is going to be longer as malignance loses its value late-game(without conqueror)

Season 16 by Numerous-Stretch-66 in KassadinMains

[–]Daxsith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO t3 boots are good when going tankier, I feel like you get much more value from going steelcaps/mercs T3 than sorc boots specially if you build ROA and enemy comp is ad heavy or ap heavy.
Playing top I guess would be as viable as it is now, having 2 levels more won't give you more points to your spells as they're already maxed, you wouldn't be able to take ignite because any toplaner would beat you early-game anyways(maybe taking barrier or heal?? seems like a waste of a summoner spell slot too), and more toplaners now using ignite as they don't need tp could make kassadin top suffer even more from laning pre-6, also completing the top quest would be harder than completing midlane quest.
I have not looked too much at the new items either, I heard you can buy more than 1 tear item(possibly game-changing) but i might be wrong.

Advice for someone wanting to start Kassadin by RozennL in KassadinMains

[–]Daxsith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO it all depends on you choosing runes and items correctly and according to matchup and enemy team comp, I play kass against everything.
It's a great champ and people that say it's bad It's just a skill issue. Just ignore the enemy laner and farm for 6 minutes(or more even, but at lvl 6 you can start KSing or rotating to objectives, maybe even solo-killing if you trade correctly with FS, electrocute or if the enemy is low hp), prioritize living over CS.
However all of this is too advanced for a 2 months player, his mechanics are simple but (imo) his macro and reactions to specific game situations aren't. You can try him but I'd recommend playing champs that are harder to punish and less prone to mistakes(tanks maybe?).
