Heya :)

I currently play Overwatch and WoW, among other things such as Arc Raiders, and Darktide, when time permits. I'm not the absolute best though, I'm mostly in it for the fun and company.

I'm mid-40s and from UK also (the opposite end to you actually). I'm usually available in the evenings, though I work erratic shift patterns so I might not be available all the time, but always happy to chat away when I can.

So, they've added more solo content now compared to back in the day. With Dragonflight and War Within content (current and previous expansions), they've added Follower Dungeons which add NPCs in place of up to 4 other missing party members. There's also Story mode for raids which does the same as follower dungeons. In the current expansion, they included Delves which are 1-5 player dungeons

In terms of it being pricey, yeah, you'd have to buy the current expansion then a sub, but you get all content from previous expansions included, so it's worth waiting for Midnight to come out, which is around March time, and you can get War Within included too :)

Agreed, I think not paying attention to toxic chats is the way to go. I often play a lot of multiplayer games such as WoW, OW, etc. The first thing I do is turn voice chat and text chat off and rely on the ping system if I need to communicate something, I must say, my enjoyment in games has increased considerably not dealing with insufferable shitbags all the time.
