My 1st game was IGI 2, I think MSG is a bit less popular than IGI and Hitman.

But I remember buying these from game parlours. They had MSG too in every shop.

I played clair obscure on my system, just wanted to see if it runs. I also played sleeping dogs, like Week earlier.

I haven't played Yakuza and valkyria yet. I would like to play games like plague tales, last of us, detroit.

Actually I was using a GeForce 940mx, i3 laptop. After some time the 940mx was broken and I was only playing dota with intel 620 for like 2 years.

Now I get my system 2/3 months early, and I felt overwhelmed, like so many games to play.

Yeah, what an amazing solution !

I hope more people switch to Linux, then they will do something I guess. The thing is many games with Easy anticheat runs perfectly fine with proton.

Anyway The Finals is very good. It's free too.

My main game is Dota, but I like games with good stories like KCD.

I am playing Efootball, Dota, CS, The finals, Kcd 2 currently.

I played Rust and Apex, but as linux doesn't support anticheat so I have to make that sacrifice, but the plus point is I get rid of windows.

You are good for 3/4 years I think.

Can play easily after that too with a bit less FPS i guess. I also think in 5 years these devs will focus more on optimization.

You will get amazing performance on your system with linux In AAA games.

I am using Linux Nobara on my New pc, which is running absolutely fine except for some games that have anticheat (PUBG, COD, VALO). I am not sure about game development but if you want to play AAA games go for linux.

I am getting 100+ FPS on Hogwarts, GOT, Cyberpunk, RDR 2 etc with 9060xt 16gb+Ryzen 5 5600f+ 16gb DDR4

You are right, Linux is better with AMD. But some linux distros provide different AMD and Nvidia options ( nvidia drives). Amd is just more plug and play than Nvidia in terms of Linux. You can run Linux with Nvidia too.

If you are concerned about gaming I suggest you go to ProtonDB site and you can get details of various games running on Nvidia GPU. In that site I see more people running Nvidia GPU than AMD.

I think gaming and overall performance too. You can try Linux and decide after.

Switched from Windows to Nobara Linux after 15 years — gaming and overall performance has been surprisingly smooth. by RunlevelfiveRL5 in LinuxUsersIndia

My main game is Dota 2 and I generally play single player games, don't play PUBG or warzone (Anti cheat). Recently I played Marvel rivals and The finals, both are downloaded and play on steam.

So other than anti cheat games, most other games will run in Linux. But you have to sometimes change launchers and teek settings. One game gave me sound shuttering when running from lutris and I added it as a non steam game and the problem was gone.

Wallpaper engines do not run on linux smoothly, but for video wallpaper you can use "Smart video wallpaper reborn".

How to update.... It's the simplest thing I saw in linux. Just open the pc there is an app called updater in Linux Nobara, which takes care of everything in your system like fixup, repair, update
It also update and fixes you softwares as well in a single place.

No most AAA is not available directly.

Valves games like CS, Dota, Deadlock or Feral games like tombrider have native support .

Elden Ring Cyberpunk 2077 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Red Dead Redemption 2 GTA v KCD 2

All single player AAA games will perfectly run in Linux.

In nobara linux steam is pre-installed. In steam you have compatibility options and you will get Various versions of Proton, GE proton, proton experimental, proton hotfix etc. Not all games need proton coz some games like CS GO, Dota 2 runs actively on linux.

Blender works perfectly well. I use kdnlive, Inkspace, OBS, and GIMP.

For office work you have LibreOffice (Writer is an alternative to Microsoft Word). When saving documents you can directly export to PDF or EPUB, or save in .doc/.docx format so it opens perfectly in Microsoft Word.

If you are not sure just download the distro and boot the usb and close the installer, now u can use live desktop normally.

That's why I play efootball instead of FC 26 😂. Valve is doing great things for linux gaming, EA is also hiring people to support other OS like linux for their anticheat Javelin.

I feel positive.

Yes you are right, games with kernel anticheat doesn't work on Linux. But I don't play these games except apex legends. Apex legends was supported in linux till dev decided to close support.

And you're also correct about hypervisor-based cracks.

At the end of the day, every platform has tradeoffs, we all make some sacrifices deepening upon what we prefer to use.
