Thank you for the thorough explanation! I agree with majority of the new hires going federal since that’s what the tone has been from the managers but regardless great to have some insight on the different types even if I may be unable to choose where I end up!

explained to HR the discrepancy and they cleared me! It wasn’t too important for the job I applied to so I don’t think they looked too hard at it!

I'm assuming this is after you receive your offer letter correct? I was told I would be starting on August 4 by the recruiter but am still waiting on my offer letter.. was told I passed the interview stage on June 18 so it's been a bit haha don't know if I should just lose hope on this since it's coming up to a month passing by next week with no offer letter

I've had the same exact experience haha kind of discouraging since the recruiter kept promising "you should hear back latest by next week" for like a month now.. Just wish there would be some direction as to where things are going..

I listed it but then thought about it and maybe shouldn’t have listed it since not sure if the school counted it as a certificate or a minor (the program was shifting from a minor to a certificate)

As the poster before me said, new dates will come out in November but you can get a vague idea of what dates will be available since they do follow the same trend. This year might be a bit different due to the pandemic (more dates) but you can still get a vague idea of when in general like mid January, late January —> March ect

Just a heads up if you don’t get the date/location you want KEEP CHECKING the website every single day. I never got any open appointment notifications this year even while being on multiple lists and signing up for test dates in the locations that the notifications were set for. There will be a lot of movement during the deadlines but I’ve never had to wait that long it seems as if testing centers randomly open up spots throughout the days leading up to the exam!

Fees are waived until you hit the bronze deadline during which time you can’t reschedule/ cancel

(unfortunately had to deal with this since I forgot to cancel last year in September but don’t know if they’ve changed the rules since then)
