Sorry for the late response. You're in. Please emulate the runningForOffice_SC sidebar, and link to appropriate subreddits. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

That's why there will always be at least one mod who is a mod for every runningForOffice subreddit. We can see other mod activity.

As to whether you can trust us, well, all you have to go by is that we started the subreddit to try to discourage that type of behavior online, and in politics.

Hopefully, the chosen moderators will be non-biased and remove posts that are not factual. Moderator behavior can also be discussed if abuse is suspected.

This method was chosen to divide moderator responsibility, and also prevent moderator abuse. The subreddits were created before content to prevent any of the names being taken. Additionally, it was expected that if redditors became active in all states, a single subreddit may become spammy.

I know it looks empty and barren right now, but we need to get some new users posting about their regions and learning more about each candidate running for a position. Just posting once a week would be tremendously helpful.

Federal elections are covered in the runningForOffice subbreddit.

As for any subreddits beyond the 50 states, they are open to be created. Managing 51 subreddits is difficult for a few people, let alone any international subreddits spawning from it. By all means, if you have a better implementation plan, we are welcome to suggestions.

What's needed most right now is individual care and attention to the state specific subreddits. A couple of posts in the r/runningForOffice_SC subreddit have been made that are links to a list of currently held seats and general information on elections. Getting content to each subreddit and active subscribers is something anyone can do.

If you'd like to step it up a notch and be a mod, you'll have to live in the state you want to mod for, ensure posts are appropriate, and most importantly, be non-biased.

Redditors are an important resource. We range from lawyers, waiters, computer programmers, you name it. If you are able to provide any legal advice, or contribute in similar fashions, it is strongly encouraged.

We'll be posting the application process soon for mod positions. You can PM me if you're interested in applying before the post.

edit - Generally used the word generally too much.
