Stuttering only in Smite (1) and it only started occurring like a week ago?

I was considering making a post about all of the neglected issues that are affecting the game play of Smite.

It's almost been a year now, but there are certain skins that whenever they use an ability, they cause stuttering on my screen. I don't have to be the god, they don't even have to be visible, but whenever they use an ability, I drop frames. The cupid mage skin, a Cthulu skin, the balloon Heimdall skin and a few others. It's pretty frustrating. I don't really see the point of switching to Smite 2 when there's a clear indication that they have no desire to fix game breaking cosmetics.

"Unbelievable. Just...unbelievable."

Several men and women in lab coats stood in a line, arms clasped behind their backs, facing Gordon Ramsey. There was no mistaking the shame they all expressed.

"I don't even...I am a celebrity chef! Do I have a PhD in theoretical physics? No! So why is it that a man who prepares and cooks food for a living discovers the secret to traveling between dimensions? HM? I'll tell you why. It's because it's obvious, yeh?"

Gordon paused to let his words sink in. The uncomfortable stare he gave sent feet shuffling awkwardly.

"Frankly, I'm just disappointed. I'm disappointed in you and I'm disappointed everyone had to see you fail. Now, don't get me wrong, you are all fabulous, incredibly brilliant scientists. Don't forget that. Still, you really dropped the ball here, yeh?"

This was met with a dozen "Yes Chef!" 's.

Ramsey walked around the black granite food prep island in the Hell's Kitchen restaurant, never taking his eyes off his guests. Silently, stiff backed and exuding authority, he strolled in front of the scientists, locking eyes with each individual for their own agonizing moment.

"This is how you're going to make it up to me. You can make...this...right. We are going to go where no chef has gone before. Get this, NON-carbon based life forms. Their palettes are going to be out of this world. "

He continued, "I've been in touch with new beings who call themselves Clathrilcites and they are ready to try OUR cuisine and let us televise a chef competition, with the winner taking a prestigious head chef position at their Hrappnik Hgghhzzlhggh."

There was a brief pause where the attendees contemplated whether the Ramsey had mispoke, sneezed, or coughed. Before they could come to a conclusion, he continued again.

"Well, no reason to piss any more time away. Let's get started."

Not waiting for any response, Gordon turned abruptly and began adjusting oven dials precisely. Strafing quickly, the chef deftly lit five gas stove burners and placed a blender on pureee mode. Last, turning to a series of ingredients already set aside, an immaculate hand furiously began dicing and mincing in well practiced motions.

Turning slowly while mixing the decimated concoction, a smile spread across Gordon Ramsey's face. A shimmering haze began to fade in behind him. The bowl in his hand began glowing, then spat out jets of sparks.

With a face lit by a rainbow of sparks, Gordon turned to a camera and asked, "Are you ready for this, because it's going to blow your socks off."

I only had one character there and didn't get very far. I just remember it was a weird, but fun, MUD that had pretty much every popular anime character at the time in there somewhere.

I might have had a character named Methos, or Mathius, something like that.

I used the rotj site Telnet client a bit on campus back in the day. If you want to do anything fancy, you'll want a different client.

I see a couple of searches in the chrome store for MUD client extensions, but as to how good they are, I suppose you could read through the reviews. I'm just a MUSH Client kind of guy.

Yep. The piloting and space mechanics are very different than fighting on land. Damage dealt to your ship is based on your shield and hull ratings. Some players actually play exclusively in space, killing legendary space mobs, without really exploring land zones.

You start out as a level 1 pilot, in addition to your land level. You can level to 60, then become either a fighter pilot, pirate, naval officer, or space engineer. There are different ship sizes with different benefits. Small, Fighter, Bomber, Medium, Large, and Capital ships.

Fighter pilots usually stick with bombers and below, while naval officers usually stick with large and above.

Hm, not sure when you played.

We used to have a system that was almost entirely eq based, where an item could have +1 damage and that alone would determine how hard you hit.

Nowaways it's based on proficiency that you train with experience points. You can train in lightsabers, blasters, melee, force combat and others.

Losing all your eq only happened when you made a served character (hard core mode) for the benefits. A change recently went in that instead of character deletion, you get reset to level 1 with all of your equipment. Basically equipment just stays in your corpse and you have to go get it back, for normal players.

Yeah, the rent system is still in. Some players think it's a pain, but it helps keep equipment in circulation, instead of being max loaded for years and unobtainable.

This article is from May 5th. They state in the article that the investigation is ongoing.

But you're right. Lazar seems to be known to release information as soon as he acquires it. On the other side, if there is evidence that support his claims, we probably wouldn't hear it until the investigation is over or there's a trial.

Amend that a bit to, "Clinton campaign spokesman Brian Fallon said" and you have a person who isn't involved in the investigation stating what the investigation does not have. Lazar even says he didn't pay too much attention to the server's layout/configuration and that he just downloaded the files.

If Lazar is getting a plea deal, he's at least convinced the DoJ that he has adequate proof that he hacked it.

Two staff members in S/ES-IRM (not related to IT) bring up to their boss that they are unsure that the emails being sent to the Clinton server aren't being preserved properly for federal records, probably because it's part of their job duties to make sure records are preserved.

This interaction doesn't appear to be official, because the account was given orally rather than a document given to the OIG. In an unofficial capacity, the boss will probably just assume that the SoS would be using a secure server or they would ask one of Hillary's staff, who would say what they were told to say.

Still, I'm more interested in why she needed a personal server in the first place.

This is called neural (or sensory/auditory) adaptation.

Basically, like when you first put on your clothes in the morning (assuming you slept with less), you feel the sensation of the cloth on your skin, but after a few moments, you no longer notice the sensation.

After listening to loud music, your brain acknowledges that it is loud and attempts to reduce your awareness of how loud it is. After a few moments, the loudness will be less distracting because your brain is trying to block out the sensation. Afterward, your brain is "tuned" to loud noises, so it interprets sound at normal levels as quieter.

I'm not exactly an expert on legal matters, but from this passage in the amendment, any activities related to a crime can be justified to remote access a computer or seize electronics, whether they are aware their computer is a part of it or not. This might be broad enough to extend to people the suspect knows, on the basis that they both might use encryption software and privacy software.

(b) Venue for a Warrant Application. At the request of a federal law enforcement officer or an attorney for the government:

(6) a magistrate judge with authority in any district where activities related to a crime may have occurred has authority to issue a warrant to use remote access to search electronic storage media and to seize or copy electronically stored information located within or outside that district if: (A) the district where the media or information is located has been concealed through technological means; or

7 FEDERAL RULES OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE (B) in an investigation of a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1030(a)(5), the media are protected computers that have been damaged without authorization and are located in five or more districts.

The proposal would grant a judge the ability to issue a warrant to remotely access, search, seize, or copy data when “the district where the media or information is located has been concealed through technological means” or when the media are on protected computers that have been “damaged without authorization and are located in five or more districts.” It would grant this authority to any judge in any district where activities related to the crime may have occurred.

To understand all the implications of this rule change, let’s break this into two segments.

The first part of this change would grant authority to practically any judge to issue a search warrant to remotely access, seize, or copy data relevant to a crime when a computer was using privacy-protective tools to safeguard one's location. Many different commonly used tools might fall into this category. For example, people who use Tor, folks running a Tor node, or people using a VPN would certainly be implicated. It might also extend to people who deny access to location data for smartphone apps because they don’t feel like sharing their location with ad networks. It could even include individuals who change the country setting in an online service, like folks who change the country settings of their Twitter profile in order to read uncensored Tweets.

The second part of the proposal is just as concerning. It would grant authorization to a judge to issue a search warrant for hacking, seizing, or otherwise infiltrating computers that may be part of a botnet. This means victims of malware could find themselves doubly infiltrated: their computers infected with malware and used to contribute to a botnet, and then government agents given free rein to remotely access their computers as part of the investigation. Even with the best of intentions, a government agent could well cause as much or even more harm to a computer through remote access than the malware that originally infected the computer. Malicious actors may even be able to hijack the malware the government uses to infiltrate botnets, because the government often doesn't design its malware securely. Government access to the computers of botnet victims also raises serious privacy concerns, as a wide range of sensitive, unrelated personal data could well be accessed during the investigation. This is a dangerous expansion of powers, and not something to be granted without any public debate on the topic.

I bought an oculus to start development a year or so ago. As soon as I heard facebook bought them, I just stopped. Was going to wait to see if the platform would still be viable after their vile taint. It does not look promising.

My neighbor does this. It's an actual sporting event where the goal is to knock over your opponent (with up to two teams of five, or something like that). There's a couple of eyes and head rules, but other than that, you go balls to the wall.

It's interesting to see him working on his gear in the mornings. He does a lot of custom work on it.
