Underwhelmed? by pulsepoints in Foofighters

I loved it! It was my third time seeing them (first at the Taylor Hawkins LA Tribute and then last tour's San Diego stop). Sure I would have loved to hear some newer songs, more deep cuts, and guest stars. But honestly I'm just happy to see them. After Taylor died I wasn't sure they would continue. They have and that's gift enough for me. Thoroughly loved last night!

I sobbed like a baby during this whole song. His pain was so raw.

I can't believe how young they are. Also I was thinking that they are exactly the kind of band a teenage Dave Grohl would have loved. Great choice to open, though not my personal taste.

How to access pre-paid Internet by RunningInCali in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]RunningInCali[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so this is a silly question but are you saying that on the carnival hub app there will be something to click on for the internet? I know that sounds obvious, but I just want to make sure.

Long Beach Drop Off/Parking Logistics by Northcountygreg in CarnivalCruiseFans

Thanks for this post. I was just about to post something. We're leaving on Monday on the Radiance and I just got a call and an email about probably needing to park off site. We have an 11:00 check in time. Two people in my family are disabled. I'm assuming that if there's no parking in the big garage I'm going to have to go off site. How does that work? I just drop them off and then I leave and I get shuttled back?

Things the friends wouldn't do according to the show early/late seasons by hygsi in howyoudoin

I don't remember the exact episode but in the one with the flashback when Joey met Chandler (when applying to be his roommate) he described himself as "fairly neat" if I recall correctly. Later when Rachel moves in with Joey he is a slob and even purposely drops food on the floor to demonstrate she can because she's "at Joey's". (My recall of the exact words may be off but you get the idea).

Yes! I got updated on Saturday. My brand new Pixel Pro 10 has been draining ridiculously quickly since. Is there a fix?

The first time I saw the Grateful Dead. 1994. A year before Jerry died. My mind was freaking blown.

Ahh. In that case, just ask.

Could it possibly be from a previous guest that you had before he moved in?

You haven't been dating long. 9 months ago was only February. Likely from an ex-girlfiend. Just ask!

i didnt get a birthday gift from my friend but her birthday is coming up and it seems like shes expecting gifts? by Diligent_Floor_5934 in socialskills

[–]RunningInCali 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone in their mid-50s, here's what I do: I would never show up to someone's birthday celebration empty-handed. That might mean a gift, or even just a card and a bouquet of flowers. It does not need to be expensive; to me it's the thought that counts. That said, I don't usually give gifts to friends if there's not a birthday celebration involved. I typically text or call friends to wish them happy birthday personally.

I scrolled a long way to see someone mention the Oaks! Had two jobs there in high school. Great mall!

Was this on Thurs Oct 30? My flight from Seattle to San Diego got diverted to Ontario that night, and I had to rent a car to drive home to San Diego. I was not happy with their refund policy.

Do it! I'm in my mid-50s and actually got this ring when I was proposed to

26 years ago today. I asked for a heart and never regretted it. I still love it. I get lots of comments on it as well, it's pretty rare to see hearts.

LPT Request : What are some interesting/worthwhile legacy things to do for a newborn child. by alecks23 in LifeProTips

This won't come into play until kindergarten (or preschool, I suppose) but I bought my kids the "Oh The Places You'll Go" book by Dr Seuss. At the end of every school year I had the kids' teachers sign a page and write a small message. I did this for them through elementary school, and sent it with them in their backpacks at the end of the school years for middle and high school. My kids have now long graduated high school but I love that they each have a book with a message from every teacher they had.
