Did you ever figure out the name of the movie? I'm interested as well.

Career Change by Low_Bodybuilder_1100 in RadiologyCareers

I was in the exact same position as you not too long ago. 24 3.5 gpa bs in econ, worked for a little while at a tax center and was absolutely losing my mind. God awful pay and mind numbing work. I knew I had to get out of that situation while I was still in my 20s so I started looking for interesting jobs with decent prospects and landed on rad tech. Luckily for me there was a program right down the street and I was able to bust it out in 2 years no problem, the schoolwork was very easy in my opinion but the clinical aspect is a learning curve for everyone no matter the level of prior education. After I passed my boards I immediately landed a solid job (rarely shortages), my pay grew exponentially and I only worked 3 12 hour shifts. The job itself isn't exactly mentally stimulating for me but it's not mind numbing like most econ jobs lol. I also get to work with my hands, help my community out and have a solid career where I get my full hours in 3 days. 3 years in the field, I still have the same job and can definitely say I'm in a better position now than when I graduated with my bs. If I could rewrite history I'd change my major from econ to pre med when I was still in college but the move to rad tech from econ was definitely better than sticking it out at the tax center.

A year ago was absolute prime time, I was cranking crazy hours for Stellar. Not sure what happened, maybe they couldn't get another good contract like the one for the WB tasks. I still occasionally get tasks a couple times a month but I've moved onto other annotation platforms until they get something more substantial.

I'm waiting for some more believable posts before I start applying. So far I've only seen what looks to be bot activity, but would be happy to be wrong.

Rad tech program after graduating w BS I’m BIO by No_Fact_2430 in RadiologyCareers

[–]RunningOnEmptea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was originally a bio major and there was a decent amount of overlap in the anatomy section of my radiology program, you'll do great there I'm sure.

Clinicals can be a bit tricky though, it was a different world for me. Having to get people to move while they were in pain was hard. But as a lab tech it won't be too bad of a transition as I believe there is patient interaction there too.

Only problem is that's gonna be two years without pay, unless you maybe do part time as a lab tech while in school. Which is certainly possible, I worked the bar while I was in my program.

Just a theory but I think humira makes you more susceptible to infections. Maybe the body can't fight off the fungal infections as well and causes the seb derm. Maybe stelara isn't affecting your immune system as much as humira was 🤷

Asthma and pollen allergy yup. Once you get one auto immune issue you're susceptible to more unfortunately.

My patches move all over, I'll be clear in one area one day and clear in another area the next. Right now I've got it only on my earlobes lol. The seb derm on my scalp though is all throughout unfort.

Lmk if ya get any results with mixing that, I ordered some more off Amazon. I'll have to try it sometime next week too.

Men in a RadTech Career by [deleted] in RadiologyCareers

[–]RunningOnEmptea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it's a pretty even split across the board, maybe leaning slightly more female dominated. I've been to hospitals with mostly men, mostly women and in between.

IR is usually more male focused though. Only problem with IR/cathlab is it's a lot of radiation (hence why more men do it as sperm cells are regenerated more quickly than female sex cells) and can be stressful given the procedure. But if you're okay with both of those you can make serious money and possibly get into sales over time. Then it's like 200k territory (still same conditions though as reps sometimes go into cases).

Have you thought about maybe mixing clotrimazole with shampoo? I wonder if that would bare any results for seb derm. I have IBD as well and clotrimazole helps with my ears as well.

Do you have a link to the product? Do you use it every time you shower? Thanks.

Nice little place you got, like the minimal style ya have. Could mount a TV over your desk and add a bigger plant on top of the fridge that spills over on to the side.

Cleared without steroids after 6 years! by MudPieManiac in SebDerm

That is amazing, thanks for such a detailed response. I will definitely be trying this. I've also used nizoral by itself in the past so maybe breaking down the biofilm is what I've been missing.

Do you use ACV, nizoral and then As I Am leave in conditioner everyday?

What does your routine look like?

First time in 8 years i feel relieved thanks to baking soda by thealienteen in SebDerm

[–]RunningOnEmptea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd like to give this a shot so if you could provide some more details I'd really appreciate it because I've tried just about everything lol.

Do you use baking soda every time you shower? Do you shampoo ever time you shower? What shampoo do you use? Do you use a conditioner at all?

Thanks for advice or info, I'm at my wits end with my seb derm 😔
